For Norse Gods, birthdays were not an Asgardian custom. They simply didn't exist, instead you were celebrated by how many winters you have lived through. Mostly this included day long feasts filled with drinking of meed, then dancing throughout the night. It was fair to say that no one would get any sleep if a 'birthday' were to take place.
Loki himself wasn't fond of the celebrations on Asgard, the loudness and recklessness that ensued during each party was far too much for him to handle. Thor however, was completely the opposite, he celebrated like there was no tomorrow and drank till he passed out in a pool of his own vomit. Loki was aware that Midgardians had different traditions to celebrate one's lifespan but he didn't know the specifics. He never thought to question it, at least until now.
Peter had refused to stay over at the tower that night, he seemed to want to get away from something but from what no one knew. That was until Tony decided to check Peter's personal information (totally 'legal' by the way.)
"F.R.I.D.A.Y pull up Peter's calendar for this week." Tony said as a hologram flashed up from his work desk in his lab. Bruce was sitting on a chair next to him but was busy writing notes from their latest experiment to look up.
"What you doing Tones?" Bruce asked glancing up at Tony whilst still writing, Tony himself was pacing the room with one arm across his chest and the other resting on top with his nails being bitten in his mouth.
"Underoos was desperately trying to get away after yesterday morning, saying he was 'busy' with somthin' so I'm checking to see if it's true." He said waiting for F.R.I.D.A.Y to respond.
"Peter Parker has a regularly scheduled week apart from today which is documented as August 10th written as his birthday on his birth certificate." F.R.I.D.A.Y said leaving Tony and Bruce in shock. Bruce stopped writing and froze, his pen rolled out of his hand and dropped onto the floor. Tony's eyes widened and he stopped pacing and faced the hologram, a picture of Peter's birth certificate was shown on the screen and it showed clear as day that today was his birthday.
"It's Peter's birthday!?" Tony yelled at the hologram in shock.
"That is correct." F.R.I.D.A.Y responded calmly, if an A.I could be calm that is.
"You didn't know?" Bruce asked Tony, surprised that Peter's 'surrogate' father didn't even know his 'son's' birthday.
"Yeah like you're one to talk Brucie bear." Tony said a little offended but deep down he was full of shame. He knew that he should be the one who knows Peter's birthday of all people.
"What I don't get is why he wouldn't want us to know." Tony said messaging his temples in frustration.
"Well to be far, the last party you threw did get a little out of hand." Bruce said spinning in his chair to face Tony and making little hand gestures to show how big of a point he was trying to make.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Tony asked in disbelief, his party's weren't that bad in his opinion.
"Oh come on, you remember Cap's birthday. You made us all wear shirts that said 'America's Ass' and painted the whole tower red, white and blue." Bruce said crossing his arms as he leaned back in his chair and raised his eyebrows.
"Nope. Doesn't ring a bell." Tony said shaking his head and walking towards the door.
"Where you going?" Bruce asked standing from his chair.
"To call a meeting, you coming or?..." Tony replied with one hand in his pants pocket and the other pointing to Bruce and then at the door. Bruce nodded and walked next to Tony who put his hand on Bruce's shoulder and patted it as they walked.
