- " what the fuck. " Maddy keeps staring at the message from her boyfriend. * bell rings * " you gotta be kidding me. ".

- " Maddy open the door! " her mom yells from the bathroom. Rushing down the stairs she opens the door expecting to see Nate their with his explanation but when she opens the door she she's the person she would least expect to show up at her door in the middle of the night.

- " Lexi what are you doing here? " . Lexi stands there not being able to breath properly, Maddy assumed she ran her after not spotting any bike and knowing the girl couldn't drive yet. " I think you can better tell me that ". " Lex what do you mean? ".

- " What I mean is why your oh so perfect boyfriend was trying to kill my sister not even an hour ago! " . " what do you mean trying to kill Cassie? ". " Don't try to act so innocent as if you didn't send him there ".

- Maddy starts to worry if they knew she lied about getting assaulted by Cassie just to calm down Nate. " I don't know what you did- " okay so they don't know. " - but you better fix this or else I won't hesitate to call the cops on him ".

- " I'm sorry I'm sorry okay? I didn't know he would try to murder her, do you really think I would allow that to happen? I'm not a monster " but after saying that she immediately regrets it not being sure if she really wasn't a monster.

- " I'm not saying YOU are but I don't wanna come down my stairs again to see your monster of a boyfriend's hands wrapped around my sisters throat ". " I mean what if he would do that to you? He isn't good for you Mads ".

- " he won't I know him he isn't like that. But i will talk to him i'm sorry about what happened ". Maddy knew that was a lie, he already did it to her but her love for him always overpowers her thoughts.

- " I'm not the one you should be apologizing to. " and with that Lexi closes the door herself not waiting to hear an answer and leaves.

- " Lexi I'm really sorry please I'll come wit- " Maddy stops mid sentence not expecting Nate to be there at the door instead of Lexi again. " Howard ey? You talked to that little shit? What did I tell you Madeline? You need to stay the hell away from them do you understand? "

- Maddy takes a step back trying to go for the stairs to grab her mom's attention, but before she can take another step Nate takes her arm and comes face to face with her. " I said " he squeezes her arm " Do. You. Understand. " she sallows and with a quivering voice an almost quite yes escapes her mouth.

- " good. Now come with me we're staying at my house tonight " Maddy wants to stop him not wanting to with him but knowing the consequences she accepts his hand and follows him to his car. When he opens the door for her and gives her a kiss on the cheek her heart starts to flutter again, how can someone so bad make her want to lose everything for him.

And it doesn't help when he sits in his seat with one hand on her thigh. His finger raising more upwards but before she can hold her breath his hand goes back to her thigh again and he let it stay there for the rest of the ride. When they arrive at the Jacob's house he again opens every door for her and takes her up to his room. He throws his shirt over his head and comes up to her to do the same for her. She knew it was so wrong to do this now, after he just tried to literally kill his best friend, but his touch makes her forget about everything and she let's it happen. Would she now really be considered a monster? It wasn't like Cassie could resist him either some time ago, at least that was what Maddy made herself clear not wanting to feel guilty about this and still evjng hurt by the tape...
