I Can't Remember | Chapter 4

"Y/n? Y/n!" Someone yelled as they shook me. I sit up as I breathe in as if I was underwater for a long time. Once I looked at the person, it was Captain Erwin.

I looked around to see basically a waistland, and it wasn't even anymore houses anymore, My dad was gone, and Armin. "Captain Erwin, where did Armin go?"

"I'll tell you on the way, get on my back, we need to go." Erwin said as I got on his back, and he used his maneuver gear to get out of these ruins. "Now listen very carefully, I found you laying unconscious with big bones on top of your body, like they were yours, but they, of course, were too big. But, Armin was gone, and your father was gone, but they said that Armin fleed. Don't answer, I know this is a lot to understand or just too much in general."

I laid on his back with a small sigh. "I'm scared, Erwin..." That was the first time I ever just said his name.

"I know, but it will be okay... I can't stay with you though, I'm going to take you to the boat where your friends might be." Erwin said as he stopped on a roof to look at a line of people. "You're a kid, so you can probably get good access up to the front."

He planted me on the ground in the back of the line, I stood there as he zoomed off in a hurry.

"Wait, Erwin-" He was already out of hearing range as I stood there with a sad aroma. "Don't leave me..."

I sighed as I took a deep breath and squeezed myself through the line. Many people pushed me, and many people shoved me, but I just kept moving to get to the front.

There was a person in the front yelling at guard to let him on the boat, but the guards ignored him, making them put more people on that where in front of him. I went around him, but the guy pushed me back and made me fall to the floor.

"Sir, you can't push through a line." A guard said once more.

Someone jumped off the boat in a rush as she pushed the guy back in anger. It was Eren?! He was sticking up for me.

I don't know why I didn't do anything, I just stood there and took it? I just feel... Weak?

Eren came to my aid as he helped me up off of the floor. "Y/n were where you?!"

Once we got on the boat, people were angered by us, but they all didn't seem to like 𝑚𝑒? I don't even know what I did!

"Do you have any idea why those people are mad at me, Eren?"

"I really don't know. But ask armin, wasn't he with you?" Eren asked, sitting next to Mikasa once again.

I don't know why, but I had this feeling like Eren wasn't okay? He just didn't seem like himself.

I got on the boat sitting down with my knee against my chest. Mikasa came over to me as she sat next to me.

"Are you feeling okay?" Mikasa asked as she wrapped me into a hug. "Eren said they pushed you when you were trying to get on the boat."

"I'm fine... Did you see Armin anywere?" I asked in an unconfirmed tone.

"Oh, there he is!" She said as she pointed to Eren and Armin, who came over to us.

I got up as I went over to Armin, grabbing him by his shoulders. "What happened to me Armin, why are people looking at me like I'm evil."

"I-i don't know... when your dad cut you, it was a bright light... After that, all I can remember is your dad covering my eyes, then I was on the boat..." Armin announced as he looked down in shame.

"Hey, you don't have to be sad. It's fine. I can just find more information later on. I'm not mad at you or anything." I confirmed softly as I patted him on the shoulder.

He gave me a warm smile. "Thanks..." we walked back over to sit down next to Mikasa. we stayed silent as the boat went on into the other wall that would most likely be broken in a few years.

I looked over to Eren to thank him for helping me up early, but he seemed... out of it, like his face was completely traumatized, he put his head down, probably contemplating everything that happened in the walls and everything.

He then gets up as Armin babbled on about something he stopped his whole conversation with Mikasa, Eren, and I to ask Eren if he was okay, but he didn't answer us.

I get up, grabbing onto his arm, thinking he was going to jump off the boat. He stops at the edge and looks up with an angered expression.

"I'll kill all of them... every single last one of them..."
