Watching Mal face the disappointed looks of her peers was something she never expected to happen. Ben was shamelessly standing behind the four VKs.

"Tala!"

The girl wiped her eyes towards the woods by the familiar voice. Confusion was written on her face.

"Tala!"

"Mom?..." she muttered. Slowly standing on her feet, looking at her friends to see if any of them heard it but they weren't paying attention.

Tala looked back at the woods and called out, "Mom? Is that you?"

"Help me!"

With that Tala dashes towards the voice with her sword in hand. The others jolted by her movements as Ben called out to her.

"Where's she going?" Jay asked, ready to follow after her. Ben shakes his head, "I don't know." As they were about to take one step, a flash of light hits them. Mal covered her eyes from the brightness before looking up with a teary voice.

"No!" She sobbed. Her four closest people were turned to stone.

——

Running through the dark woods with heavy breaths. Tala followed the voice as it still calls out. "Help! Tala!"

Getting closer to the voice she sure knew was her mother. Anger going through her head at the thought of her mother getting hurt.

The voice was louder and clearer than before. Tala let out an angry cry. "Don't hurt me! Tala!"

"No!" Tala raised the sword over her head and cuts down a bush before jumping over the remaining bush, rolling on her before she got into position.

Pointing her sword around. Glancing around, there was no one.

"Mom?"

A wicked laugh came behind her as she immediately turned around and slashed her sword at the person. The person gasps in pain, Tala's eyes widened at Audrey.

Blood running down the pink haired girl's arm. A angry look on her face.

"Audrey." Tala breathe out in disbelief.

"Hello, T." The girl smiled wickedly. The slash on her arm was fully healed by the power of the scepter.

"Who did this to you?" Tala asked in a soft tone, lowering her sword. Audrey was tired of hearing people asking her that.

"I did this! Me!" She shouted in rage. Gesturing to the crown with a pride smile. "I had finally decided to take things into my own hands! Aren't you proud?"

Tala shook her head with a sad sigh. "No. No, this isn't you Dre!"

Audrey faced away from the mention of the nickname that she called her the first time they met. When they were kids, Tala immediately gave her and Ben a nickname. Ben as Bernard and her as Dre.

"No! You don't know that!" Audrey shoots back. Slamming the scepter into the ground with an angry huff.

"Audrey, just give me the scepter. Everyone in Auradon is in danger!" Tala recalls. "Don't make me use force."

Audrey tilted her head with interest and let out a cheeky laugh. "Now that's the attitude I want!"

"Audrey, please." Tala clenched the sword, not wanting to hurt the girl.

"Come and get it!" Audrey laughed. Waving the scepter around like a snake. Tala sighed in disbelief before moving forward attempting to get the scepter. Before she could touch Audrey, the girl slammed the scepter on the ground as pink smoke appeared around the polynesian.

"Audrey—"

The smoke covered her before she felt herself falling. Landing with a thud, the girl let out a groan before reaching for the sword. Standing up she dusted herself off with a huff.

Jumping when she felt a gust of wind behind her, Tala quickly looked back. "What the fuck!" She squealed out when she saw Celia in the corner. The younger girl looked shaken, hugging herself in a vain attempt to relieve her stress. "Sweetheart..."

"Tala!" The younger girl cried out, immediately going to her. "I-I was just about to go to Evie's... and then she came out of nowhere! And I.."

"Hey, it's ok." Tala said soothingly. "Everything is gonna be alright. I promise. I'll find a way off this roof."

It felt like hours for the two who were sitting on the roof. Tala was on the look out for someone to walk by, whether it was Mal, Uma, Kai, or Harry. 'I should've never followed that voice...' she thought bitterly. 'But it sounds so much like my mom.'

Suddenly, a cloud of smoke appeared, Audrey smirking at the two wickedly.
"Mal should be here any moment now."
She mused, Tala glaring at her as she held up the sword.

"You have to stop, Audrey. You're going too far!"

"How about, hmm... no." She humphed. A loud roar then filled the night sky, catching the three's attention. A purple dragon appeared, the creature glaring at Audrey.

"Mal!" Tala and Celia said in unison, happy to see their friend. Dragon Mal took a deep breath before blowing fire towards Audrey, only for the pink haired witch to dodge it with Maleficent's scepter. Mal hissed as she flew back when Audrey used the power of the staff to shoot electricity her way causing her to fly down.

Audrey faced the duo behind her before pointing out to Celia. "You. Come here, now."

Tala pulled her behind her, holding the sword up with her head held high.

"No. That's enough, Audrey."

Audrey hesitated before she shot her with the scepter, not knowing it got her heart. Tala flew to side and hit her head on concrete, knocking her out.
