Skye's POV
"Look, I don't like to be messy either, but this is getting out of hand."
"Hey, you agree to accept me both in sickness and in health. Well, this is my sickness!" Skye countered.
"When I said I'll do anything you want, I was hoping it would be some bedroom activities. — Not this." Sebastian complained with a pout as he half-heartedly did what he had been told.
Earlier that day, they were arguing over a room. Which room to work on first, to be exact. Skye finally agreed to arrange their bed chambers first, since Sebastian gave her a very interesting offer in return. — In which she decided to take full advantage of.
Hence, as soon as they finished cleaning and placed their clothes in their bedroom's wardrobe, Skye immediately dragged her husband into another room designated as their study. This was where she commenced her (almost) devious plan.
The room consisted of two opposing desks, one for each of them. And along the walls were adorned with tall cabinets, ready to be filled with their enormous collections of books and scrolls.
Skye always loved to sort and arrange her things based on both functions and aesthetics. And despite possessing such profound magic in her veins, she prefers to do them manually, much to Sebastian's dismay.
The perfectionist of a woman had ordered him to sort the books not only by their genre, but also in alphabetical order, and by the order of the color spectrum. What happens if a book's cover doesn't match the supposed color? Well, he must simply use his magic to change the color so it fits! He is a wizard after all. Surely that is not too much of a problem for him.
After a few good hours of organizing and dusting here and there, their chore has finally come to an end.
The couple took a few steps back to get a good look of the whole room, and they sighed in content as they admired the final outcome. The study room is now cleaned up and fully functioning, — with multihued books all lined up so neatly that it creates a stunning display of colors in the space.
I could stay here for hours and never get tired of it.
"This is the most beautiful room I've ever organized." Skye expressed, her eyes twinkling in delight.
"You mean we ever organized." Her husband corrected in a proud tone, as he put an arm around Skye's shoulders. "Am I the best husband or what?"
Raising her eyebrow at him, she let out a light scoff. "Oh please, you wouldn't have done it if I didn't constantly breathe down your neck."
"But I did it anyway, and that says something." He added. "Now where's my reward?"
Skye rolled her eyes and shook her head while she laughed. "A good husband would never ask for something in return after he helped his wife."
"Hmm." He pondered, whilst lowering his head to her ear. "A good wife should always reward her husband for his... services."
Another chuckle escaped from her lips, before she shifted her gaze towards the window. She was so absorbed in her organizing activity that she didn't realize it was already dark outside. And she did promise she's going to make dinner for the two of them.
"All right, fine. Let's go to the kitchen." She giggled, as if she had deciphered the code her partner gave her. "I didn't realize it was time to feed the overgrown child."
"That's not exactly the kind of reward that I have in mind." Sebastian implied, whilst also laughing at her comment. "But for now, I'll settle for being taken care of by my loving wife."
