ELENA PACED THE MYSTERIOUS ROOM she had been trapped in.
As she thought about the last thing she remembered, she clutched her forehead, hoping the aching pain will resolve itself. She remembered exiting the hospital with Caroline, then meeting Tyler in the car park, but, after that, everything was blank. Elena guessed she had been knocked out and that was why her head was throbbing.
Suddenly, the door to the room opened. Elena expected to have to cover her eyes from the sun, but the sky was dark and the moon was full. As Klaus entered the room, she figured that the ritual was about to start.
She glared darkly at Klaus, as he walked up to her. He sighed when he saw her rage full expression.
"You know, you could've just asked nicely," Elena said. Her words had a sort of humour to them, but her tone didn't. It was harsh and cruel, showing just how frustrated she was with having to die in order for him to be killed. "You didn't have to kidnap me."
Klaus smirked. "I truly appreciate you sacrificing yourself for me."
Elena's glare hardened at his arrogant tone. "Go to hell."
His smirk widened.
Klaus held out his hand for her to take, but she walked straight past him and out the door. She ended up in the woods and, when she looked back, she saw that she had been held in a bunker.
Klaus walked past her and she followed him. They arrived in a small space of land that was by the Quarry.
When Elena looked around, she saw Jenna lying on the floor. She gasped and ran to her, kneeling over her aunt's body. She checked her pulse but couldn't find one.
She turned to face Klaus, glaring at him through the fresh tears in her eyes.
"Why would you kill her?" Elena yelled, furious and upset. "I did everything you asked!"
Klaus's smirk was still resident on his face when he said: "You did... but your friends didn't."
Elena sneered at him and turned back to Jenna, holding her tightly. She didn't want to lose her. She couldn't lose her.
When she saw that Jenna wasn't waking up, she cried and faced reality. Jenna was dead and, soon, she would be, too.

Elena awoke with a gasp, jolting upright and breathing heavily. She looked around and found that everyone was staring at her. She swallowed nervously and calmed her breathing.
Surprisingly, she felt normal; she felt like herself; she felt human. Elena almost smiled until she remembered what had happened the night before -- the night of terror.
"How d'you feel?" Damon asked anxiously. "Do you feel okay?"
She nodded, but her face wore a downcast expression which said otherwise. She felt guilty as she remembered how it was her fault that Jenna died. It was her plan and it gotten her aunt brutally and mercilessly killed.
