Yoongi sat attentively in class, listening intently to the teacher and diligently writing down neat notes for his brother. On the other hand, Taehyung sat to the side, occasionally yawning, eagerly anticipating the end of the class.
"Okay, class, I'm giving you an assignment for your internals," the teacher announced.
"It will be a joint assignment with your seniors," the teacher added, sparking excitement among the students. After all, it was an opportunity to get to know their seniors better. Within minutes, a group of seniors entered the class, prompting the students to erupt in cheers, especially for Jeon Jungkook and Seokjin, the stars of the college.
"First-year, quiet," the teacher instructed. "Third-year, go and have a seat. I'll explain the assignment shortly." Everyone nodded and made their way to the available seats.
Jungkook, as he entered the class, immediately began searching for the cute figure who had become his new friend. The moment his eyes met the cat-like gaze, he couldn't help but break into a big smile, which Suga reciprocated.
On the other side, Jin was also on the lookout for Suga. When he finally spotted him, his smile faltered. The person he wanted to see was already looking at someone, and that someone turned out to be none other than his best friend. "What's happening?" Jin wondered to himself, a tinge of confusion and surprise in his expression. something is changing and Jin couldn't help but sense an unexpected turn of events.
When the teacher instructed everyone to take a seat, both Jin and Jungkook headed towards the vacant seats near Suga. As they reached, both of them simultaneously dropped their bags onto the seats and exchanged a glance.
"Seat anywhere else; this seat is mine," Jin declared, reaching to remove Jungkook's bag. However, Jungkook intervened, gripping Jin's wrist to halt him. "I'm sitting here, Jin. You can sit behind me," Jungkook asserted.
"I want to sit here," Jin insisted. "So do I," Jungkook retorted, both now engaged in a silent standoff, their eyes locked. The entire class, including Yoongi, Taehyung, Namjoon, and others, watched them in disbelief this may be the first time seeing them acting like this.
"Jungkook, stop being a kid and sit anywhere else," Jin commanded, his usually sweet voice taking on a deeper, more authoritative tone. The unexpected shift made everyone widen their eyes; Jin, known for his sweet nature, had never spoken to anyone, especially his best friend, in such a manner. It was a new side for the onlookers, though not entirely unfamiliar for Jungkook. Jungkook, too, was surprised to hear Jin using that tone with him, but he was well aware of Jin's possessive nature. Both Jungkook and Jin were equally possessive about their thing they loose their tampered easily when it comes to something they love a lot, and Jungkook sensed that something significant was at play here. Determined to understand, Jungkook looked at Jin, silently questioning what it was that Jin considered his own and was willing to assert with such authority and especially to him.
