James perspective
3 years before Tobias's spider bite

As I walked to my next class, I couldn't help but worry about Tobias not responding to the memes I sent him. He was my best friend and I missed him. Despite being a good kid with excellent grades, I felt like something was missing in my life. I had recently discovered my powers, and I was already better at using them than my dad, who was the smart one. My dad always asked me to keep my body fit, and since the age of four, I have been working out regularly. As a result, I was a strong, buff kid, but I never boasted about it to Tobias or anyone.
When I sat down in my seat, I found that the work was easier than I thought it would be. However, having a genius dad meant that I always had high expectations of myself. Skipping ahead to lunchtime

"Hey man, did you check out those memes I sent you?" I asked Tobi, and he replied with a sheepish grin, "Not yet, sorry bro." I playfully smacked him on the back of his head and said, "Come on, they're hilarious! You're missing out." He rubbed the spot where I hit him and laughed. Then, I remembered to ask him if he saw Spider-Man on TV this morning. Tobi got lost in thought, and I had to call his name twice to get his attention. "Sorry, what were you saying?" he asked. I gave him a friendly nudge and repeated my question. He replied, "Oh yeah, I did see it. Did Spider-Man have a son too?" I had to make him drop it, so I replied, "Probably, yeah. He must have been somewhere else." Time skip to six years later...

Present time

"You can do it, Tobi. Don't let negative people hold you back," I said with conviction. "This is your moment to shine and show the world what you're capable of."

I took it upon myself to help Tobi train and we focused on his goals without any excuses. We worked hard every day, pushing each other to the limit. Tobi's determination was infectious and I could see his progress each day.

Despite the obstacles we faced, we never lost sight of our goal. We supported each other and never let setbacks discourage us. We knew that success was within reach and we were determined to achieve it. Finally, I had to go do something

Man, I was sweating balls, but so was Tobi and he was breathing harder than me, we were heading to my dorm "You can just sit inside my dorm, even though you don't want to go to college yet" I said, then smiled and said "like I would want to go to college, what is it going to benefit me" I laughed "well you could be a blacksmith like me" I let out of the breath of air and wiped my forehead "being a blacksmith and training you is hard, it would help a lot" I said
"I'll just be in the woods, maybe then I'll come back or something like that," he said chuckling "You've always been a forest boy haven't you" I say as a joke "Stop acting like you're my dad you're not" I opened the door to leave "yeah I know, but I'm still like...uhh...what do you call it your sensei?" He nods, but then says "But just because you're my "sensei" doesn't mean you can act like you're my father" I chuckle yet again "Whatever, see you in a bit" he replies "See ya" Spider work

I'm swinging through the city, the air in my face, it feels nice "Man I should get a new suit, this one is old and ruined, maybe after this mission I can get a new one" I don't know what kind of suit I want but I'm thinking of something like my dads suit blue and red with a bit of my taste. "Hey spider dad, where's the place?" I ask my dad through the spider call "Eh, should be a bit to your right, you'll see a itsy bitsy little lab there, find a guy called Dr. Mark Dread, he's the one that's making the spider and doing bad things here, get in there, take the spider and get him to the police" my dad says "Lo tengo señor papá" I say "you still know I can't speak Spanish right?" I laughed "I said "Got it sir Dad" did you get it that time?" He started laughing "Yeah yeah, just go do your job" he hung up. As I got to the side of the building, I waited until no one was around and went inside and grabbed the spider, the "good" doctor came in with high tech armor " well young spider, you've managed to get past my defenses, I'm impressed, to say the least," he says smiling, I jerk my head to the side "what defenses?" I look around to see a pile of metal I made with the so-called defenses "oh, you mean those defenses," I say sarcastically pointing to the pile, his jaw drops, but then he smirks "you may have gotten past those defenses, but you'll never get past me" then he rushes forward with incredible speed which knocked me off guard and smashes me into the wall "not bad for something that weak," I say before pushing him back and extending my claws and repeatedly, stabbing him at his robot stomach, he then started to cough up blood. I stopped "why are coughing up blood?" He then punches me back "YOU IDIOT, THIS ROBOT IS CONNECTED TO MY BRAIN, I FEEL EVERYTHING THIS ROBOT DOES, HAVE YOU NOT HEARD OF NEURALINK!?" He yells "Neuralink? What is that...?" I jerk my head to the side, then Doctor Mark gets mad and starts to hit me repeatedly so I pretend to be hurt "Not so strong now are you?" he says, I start laughing "I already told you, that suits weak and to put on top of that you got no women..." He stares at me "No?" I ask, he shakes his head "That's not a very good one..." He says "Yeah well at least I tried, ok?" We just stare at each other for a while, but then I got bored and grabbed the spider and just jumped out the window "OH NO YOU DON'T YOU LITTLE SPIDER" he says before grabbing my leg and pulling me back, but I just kick the arm hard and it breaks leaving me to swing away. "OW YOU GET BACK HERE" he yells "lo siento doctor, pero eres gay y tambièn necesito volver a mi dormitorio" I say back as I swing away at the dorm

I go in through the window and set the spider in my room because I know he won't go in my room, I already told him if I see him in my room, he has to give me 50$ and I know he doesn't want that...but he's not here though, and I have been gone for 2 hours "Eh, probably just still in the woods, but it doesn't hurt to check" I say well shoving a burrito down my throat in the woods

I swing through the woods to try and find him but after like 30 minutes, I still can't find him, I do find some deer as I'm swinging, and as I'm swinging I see some blood...Tobi's blood... and there's a lot of it "NO NO NO, TOBI...TOBI, ARE YOU HERE MAN" I yell but no answer "TOBI!" I yell yet again but only a dear hears me and runs away instantly I swing as fast as I can back to the dorm to call my dad and the police oh anyone would work. The first person I call is my dad, but as I open the door to my dorm I hear someone running in the direction of my room thankfully, I had already changed out of my suit so it was fine to see if it was Tobi or not. The first thought that goes through my mind is what is he doing in my room "Tobi...what are you doing" I look at him and then at the spider "Get back from the spider" he does, then I grab the box and yeet it outside, my dad had swung in and had the box in his hand "you kids shouldn't be-" he pauses seeing me "you kids shouldn't be throwing stuff out your window" I look at Tobi "can you go to the other room please" he left "dad...Tobi...there was a lot of blood, it was...Tobi's but hes right here so...I don't know if thats him or someone else but all I know is it was his blood and he may have got bit by that spider an-" my dad cut me off " look jam-" he paused "Spider-X, he's right there and looks fine, it maybe was not his blood and was something else...look if anything take him to the lab, I'll see you there" the lab, the family lab, that would be right, test if he is Tobi and see if hes like...us later

I look at Tobi "Did you touch the spider?" I ask "What if I did?" He says "Nothing, did it bite you, Tobi?" I asked him, after a while of waiting he said "Yes" Oh no not good, not good, just take him to the lab and we will be good "I need to take you to my dad's lab...." At the lab

"What are you two kiddos doing here?" Dad asked when we got there, I looked at my father and then at Tobi, and dads eyes widened "Oh, oh no" I figured just to keep my mouth shut to keep Tobi calm "Tobias please come with me" Dad asked Tobi, he then followed, I just waited till I could no longer so then I appeared in the room when dad was about to tell him "you mind if I tell him pops" dad looked over me and nodded "you are now...a Spider-Man" Tobi's face grew with shock and confusion "also so are me and my dad, he's Spider-Man, and I'm spider-X" and he finally knew everything
