Liam Huntzberger, Logan Huntzberger's older brother and Emelia Gilmore, Rory Gilmore's twin sister, have known each other due to their families' connections, but it wasn't until they reunited at Yale College that sparks began to fly. As they started...
"Why am I walking into the newsroom this morning?" Emelia questioned out loud to herself.
"Because Doyle wanted to see you" Rory answered while walking towards Paris and her desk.
Emelia followed Rory while looking around the room until all the sudden she hears Paris talk about the religion beat at that point Doyle saw Emelia and called her over to his desk.
"Emelia glad you could make it" Doyle said when she arrived at his desk.
"So glad I could be here Doyle. But what am I here for?" Emelia questions him.
"I want you to write the fashion piece for the Yale daily news! We have been looking for someone to do the beat for a while and Rory mentioned how you use to write in your high school newspaper about fashion and you're doing a fashion degree. So, what do you say?" Doyle explained.
"I'll think about it Doyle".
"Good know bye the next staff meeting" Doyle said before walking away from Emelia.
Emelia looked around the newsroom again thinking about this opportunity and saw Paris walk away from Rory, so Emelia walked up to her.
"You told Doyle about my writing why would you do that?" she said when she reached Rory.
"You were amazing on the Chilton paper, and you love talking about fashion" Rory reasoned.
"I'll most likely do it" Emelia whispered thinking out loud.
Rory heard her and just nodded along.
"Okay I'm leaving see you later" Emelia said while walking out of the newsroom.
Paris interrupted Doyle "Me? Really? Huh. I hadn't thought. Alright" She said in disbelief.
Emelia laughed at this knowing what she did this morning.
Doyle continued "Jerry, city arts. Rory, features. New writer Emelia on fashion. Glenn, crime"
Glenn hummed when his assignment was given.
"Glenn, what you don't want crime?" Doyle asked in an annoyed tone.
"I don't care Maureen Dowd told me it's all the same not that the big flirt has any idea what she's talking about" Glenn answered.
"Alright that's it. Congratulations if you got what you wanted and if you didn't, I could care less. Get cracking" Doyle dismissed everyone.
Rory went strait up to Doyle after the meeting finished to thank him for the features beat, while Emelia looked around at the different desks to see which one, she could take.
One desk caught Emelia's eye it had a small glass turtle figure that she recognised as Liam's.
Emelia went and sat behind that desk and ears dropped on Rory's and Doyle's conversation.
