lunch time

fawn was in line to get some lunch, which looked surprisingly good.

this beats all the school lunches i've had by a million.

she got her lunch, paid for it, and walked around to find a table to sit at. that's when she found an empty table and pulled out her ipod nano.

fawn was minding her own while grubbing on her food until this random guy sat across from her and said, "hey there. you got a dollar?"

"yeah, i think so." fawn replied as she started digging in her bag for her wallet.

she found it and pulled out a dollar to give to the guy.

"thanks." he said. "but aren't you gonna ask me why i asked for a dollar?"

"uhh, no?"

"oh, come on. ask me, ask me."

"okay.. hey, random dude. why did you ask for a dollar?"

"so i can get a.. pop, pop!" he said as he put his hand up to raise the roof.

fawn laughed a bit. "hey, that was pretty funny."

"thank you, thank you. the name's magnitude."

"fawn. put 'er there." she gave him a high five. "so, magnitude. tell me about yourself."

"well magnitude's a one man party."

"ah, sick! so you like to get down and party all night?"

"pop, pop!"

"what kind of music do you like?"

"magnitude's down for any kind of music.. as long as it helps magnitude get the people movin. can i get a pop, pop."

"pop, pop." fawn raised the roof. "you know i feel like we would be a great fit for each other."

"how so?"

"well you like to be the party and i like to make sure the party is jumpin with my music."

"you make music?!"

"hell, yeah."

"that's what's up. pop, pop!"

fawn was having a good time until she looked to her right and saw that guy from anthropology class staring at her.

he was sitting with about six other people, who all seemed to be talking.

fawn couldn't lie. she was a bit weirded out, but she didn't wanna be rude. so she just glanced and gave him a smile.

"uh, hey, magnitude?" fawn asked.

"yeah?"

"do you know that guy who keeps staring at-"

"hey, magnitude." fawn got cut off by a chubby girl with light brown hair who sat down next to magnitude.

"pop, pop!"

the girl put up her hands to raise the roof after he said that.

then magnitude said, "vicki, meet fawn. fawn, meet vicki."

"hi, fawn. nice to meet you."

"hey, the pleasure's all mine." fawn replied and she smiled.

the three of them talked and ate the whole lunch period. fawn even met another guy named neil who was pretty cool.

it was time to go to the next class, so they got up from the table and started walking out the cafeteria.

neil wanted to walk vicki to class, so it was just fawn and magnitude left.

fawn said to him, "you seem like a fun time. we should hang."

"oh, you know it! why would i turn down having a pretty rocker by my side?"

fawn was a little flattered by what he said. "thank you." she grinned.

"pop, pop!"

"well, i'm off to my next class. see ya, dude."

"pop, pop!"

fawn waved and made her way to class.

she was so happy she became friends with such a cool and charismatic guy like magnitude. she knew this was just the beginning of a solid friendship.
