2| the Isle of the Lost

Prince Ben was staring out the window looking at the island with a magical barrier around it.

"Sleeve. Head" said the man measuring Ben's suit.

Ben looked to the front as his parents, King and Queen of Auradon walked into the room smiling.

"How is it possible you're going to be crowned king next month".

"You're just a baby!" Beast said.

"He's turning 16 dear" Belle said.

"Hey pops!" Ben greeted his father.

"16!? That's far too young to be crowned king. I didn't make a good decision until I was at least 42" Beast said.

"Uh you decided to marry me at 28" Bella said.

"Well it was either you or a teapot" Beast said jokingly winking at his son who chuckled.

"Kidding" Beast said to his wife who turned away.

"Mom, Dad".

"I've chosen my first official proclamation" Ben said.

Beast and Belle looked at each other with smiles excited for their son.

"I've decided that the children on the Isle of the Lost be given a chance....to live here in Auradon" Ben said.

Beast and Belle both looked shocked, not knowing what to say.

"Everytime I look out to the island, I feel like they've been abandoned" Ben explained.

"The children of our sworn enemies? Living among us?" Beast asked.

"We start out with few at first. The ones who need our help the most. I've already chosen them" Ben explained.

Belle nodded slightly but Beast took a few steps toward his son.

"Have you?" he asked.

"I gave you a second chance" Belle said.

Beast slightly looked down.

"Who are their parents?" Belle asked.

"Cruella de Vil, Jafar, Evil Queen, Mother Gothel..... And Maleficent" Ben said.

"Maleficent! She is the worst villain in the land!" Beast yelled.

"Dad, just hear me out here" Ben said.

"I won't hear of it, they are guilty of unspeakable crimes!" Beast yelled.

"Dad, their children are innocent! Don't you think they deserve a shot at a normal life?" Ben said.

Beast looked over to his wife who gave him a small nod before speaking more calmly "I suppose the children are innocent".

Beast turned and walked away before stopping to wait for his wife who was congratulating her son.

When they had exited the room, Ben looked back out at the island before looking down at his ring then looking back up again.

Celeste had finished dancing with the rest of her group while they all laughed while Mal stole a lollipop from a baby.

Celeste was cheering until she heard people screaming and turned to see everyone running away...

Mal sighed before turning around smiling.
