I woke up in the middle of the night to loud screaming, it wasn't like any normal screaming, it was almost like someone was hurt or frightened.

When I started to focus more on the sounds around me, I heard blaster/shooting in the halls. I started to panic so I put on my army green pants and my black T-shirt as fast and quietly as I could, then I put on my blackish blue jacket and my shoes on, took my flashlight and opened my door quietly.

I almost screamed at the sight... there were bodies of people, people who lived in the same village as me. I ran towards one of the girls lying on the floor, it was Clarra a girl in my class, she was only 15 years old. I thought to myself when checking her pulse. She was dead, and so were the others.

I ran back to my room to pack my stuff so I could get out of there, so I wouldn't be the next person dead. I packed some clothes, batteries for my flashlight, food and water. I heard heavy footsteps nearing my door.

''Shit'', I whispered.

Well, what was I supposed to do?! I couldn't just open the door. As I thought I looked behind me.

''Right the window, of course'. I thought to myself as I started walking to my window and opening it.

I climbed out and started to sneak to my speeder, so I could just get out of there.

It was hard to see even with my flashlight on. Then suddenly I tripped on something or someone... I pointed my flashlight at the probably dead corpse I tripped on, and my eyes flew open as tears started threatening my eyes.

''Dad!'' I cried out, covering my mouth with my hand as I remembered what I was trying to do, to get out of here.

I jumped on my white speeder looking back at my dad when suddenly I was cut off with someone calling my name.

''Abigail! Wait for me, will you? Said someone with a girlish voice to me.

''Who is it?!'' I asked her as it clicked.

Ella, is that you? I asked again as she answered.

"Yes, it's me. Now let's go" she said as she jumped on my speeder.

Ella lived right next door, we used to hang out when we were little. We had a lot in common. Like we were the same age, I was 16 now and so was she... alright that was not a lot, but still.

I just stared at her because we hadn't talked in a long time, I was even surprised she remembered my name. She had changed a lot, when we hung out with each other she had brown hair and now she was blond, her eyelashes were showing a lot more now as she looked more girlish than when we first met. Also, now she had more of an inverted triangular body.

''Hello? Mars to Abi! Are you going to start that damn engine or what?'' Ella whispered.

''Ohh, right.'' I said clicking the button on the speeder as the engine started.
