Working at the Mondstadt Tavern, you see all sorts of people, from all different walks of life.

The majority are regular customers. People you're on a first-name basis with, who often swing by the counter to visit you for a bit.

A lot of them come by to simply drown their troubles away, after a long, tiring day at work.

Others are out with their buddies; playing games, sharing stories, laughing, and overall just looking to relax.

Then, you have the lovebirds.

You've lost count of how many failed romances you've seen, trying to blossom within your bar.

Lonely, drunken bachelors looking to get lucky with one of your female customers.

If you had just one Mora, for every time you heard "Did it hurt when you fell from Heaven?"...

You'd be a trillionaire, easily.

As long as both parties involved are happy, though, it doesn't bother you in the slightest.

If anything, it almost makes you think of your youth; when as a kid of drinking age, you'd sometimes try to pull similar stunts with the ladies around you.

With varying levels of success.

Those days are well past you at this point, though.

You've got a house, a job, a horse to get you around town... you're an adult now, with adult responsibilities.

You've entertained the idea of settling down with someone, but you've mostly put it on the back burner, for now.

You don't need someone else to be happy.

Although... it would be nice.

At the moment, you're wiping down a recently-used drinking glass with a rag, curiously checking out your surroundings.

The tavern owner's clocked out for the evening and went home, leaving you alone to manage the bar.

Not something you're too concerned with, though. The place has been nearly dead all night long.

Typical for the weekdays.

Currently, the only customers around are a pair of Knights of Favonius, sharing drinks in a corner of the bar.

Enjoying a few pints of mead, following the end of their respective shifts.

You lightly chuckle to yourself. I wonder if those two are dating...

It's certainly possible. Although you, yourself, have absolutely no intentions of dating a coworker.

Lots of bad experiences with that. Just... the awkwardness of it all.

You see one of the Knights raise his head, his pale blue eyes locking onto your own.

"Oi, Barkeep! Another mead, if you please!" he says in a gruff, accented voice.

"Right away, sir." you reply, fetching a clean glass off the shelf behind you.

As you look around for the bottle of his drink, you hear the familiar jingle of the silver bell, dangling off the tavern's front door.

A new customer. Surprising, for how late it is.

With your back still turned toward the door, out of habit you call out "Welcome, sir! Please take a seat and I'll be with you shortly."

"Of course, take your time!" a gentle, feminine voice replies.

It's a girl.

Whoops.
