"Wow. I actually can't believe this." San said dumbfounded. He remembered the name as soon as he heard it. One of Kaehun's own kids, murdered, at the young age of twenty two. His cousin who he spent most of his childhood with, gone off of the face of this earth forever.
"You can go ahead and get going. I'll look over your work." San walked over to his desk.
Seonghwa looked up at him from the chair.
"Are you sure? This seems like not such a good time." Seonghwa mentioned.
"Yes, i'm sure. You've been here for a good while. You need to go home and rest." San replied.
The men's attention was caught by a tall figure at the door.
"Hello, Detective Choi. Detective Park." The man had strong features with dark hair and a nice sharp suit on.
"Ah, Detective Song. What are you doing here?" Seonghwa spoke up.
San inspected the other, looking at how snazzy he looked compared to himself.
"I was actually sent here to help cover this case. Our team found evidence directly linking our case to evidence in one of the previous Seoul killings." Detective Song announced.
"Oh, well we were actually just talking about that." Seonghwa said glancing at San.
"The victim in your case, she was my cousin." San stated sadly.
"I'm really sorry to hear that. Hey, i'm here for you if you need anything. I'll probably be staying for a while so I can help you out with anything." The tall male voiced.
"Thank you, Detective Song. I really appreciate it. Seonghwa's shift is over now so you'll take over with me today." San said ushering Seonghwa out of his seat.
"Please, call me Mingi." He spoke as he walked over to where the other two men were.
"Go and enjoy your rest. Don't worry i'll be as much of a help that I can." Mingi called out as he stood next to San.
After Seonghwa left, San and Mingi relayed their cases to each other.
"Looks like we've got a serial killer on our hands." Mingi spoke.
"Do you think it's genuinely Lee Tarence?" San questioned. So many things could change for him in the future if this was the case.
"I'm not sure but I definitely don't think he's working alone." Mingi said with a cautious look.
"You think my suspect may be conspiring with him?" San asked.
"I'm also not sure but it's too early to rule out. We should look into all possibilities." Mingi replied.
San's uneasy feeling became worse as he thought about Wooyoung being associated with a potential serial killer.
He has to make sure he does everything in his power to protect him.
Wooyoung looked through San's pantry as he felt his tummy grumble. He's lost a bit of weight since Jongho passed and sometimes he felt far too nauseous to eat. After meeting San, his appetite started to make a comeback.
He figured he should call Honjoong because though he was upset with him and he knew that he was a suspect, he still couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.
He called once and to no avail. He called a second and heard a voice on the other line.
"Wooyoung?"
"Hongjoong, where are you?"
"Wooyoung I need you to listen to me very carefully, someone is out to get you. You need to go somewhere safe, don't stay at the house. Find somewhere safe please. Im begging you. I can't stay on the phone long. Please just keep yourself safe."
