Performance of the dead

Prologue

There was a group of performers, practicing for another show.
The whirling of people jumping, spinning! The upbeat music, the colorful lights, the streamers and confetti, it was a bright day for the performers! Practicing high, they whirl and twirl until they get dizzy!

"Alright, performers," one yells, "You're all doing amazing!! Keep it up!"

Until a small ticking had begun. Going unnoticed by everyone, it ticks. And ticks.

The whirling of people jumping, spinning. The blasting music, the blinding lights, the streamers and confetti, it was a tragic day. The positive atmosphere turning tense.

As the ticking reached its final ticks, silent. Silent.

"Performers, gather round!"
3....
"You're all doing amazing, however..."
2....
"We need to work to our fullest pot-"
1.

The ticking stops, following behind? A loud bang.
Headlines upon headlines
Whispers among whispers

Yet none wish to confirm.

"The Stars have unfortunately died!"
"I heard it was a technical accident!"
"I heard a shooter went in there!"

"Well, whatever it was, I hope it never happens again!"

Nobody knew what really happened, until these few kids heard about it.

Well, we can only hope curiosity doesn't kill the cat.

Notes: AGHHHHH I'm so EXCITED!! I have many projects in the works planned to post, here's project POTD! I don't really know how to write stuff like horror stories, but I will try! I hope it's not too bad of a prologue! The chapters are being worked on inside my schools google docs, so I rewrite it and rework whatever part I wanted to originally write but couldn't! Anytime a scene is too much, I'll probably write it in notes. So since it's on my schools Chromebook, don't expect fast updates. I'm trying my hardest though!
