Transportation is hard when you're a vampire. You can't leave the country on a plane without meeting the sun at some point. You can't take a car unless the windows are tinted to hell. And you can't sprint across water like Jesus or something. That'd be great, but it's not possible. You just aren't fast enough. You haven't tried it, but you don't think it's possible. It doesn't feel like you're fast enough to do that. But shit, maybe you could try. It sounds like a dumb idea but you'll try it one day.
The only other option is to glamour a human. You need someone to ship a coffin across the world, and a glamoured human is the only way. Well, it's not the only way, but it sure feels like it. And you don't want anyone in your group knowing where you are. If Sarah knows, then Pam will find out, and Pam will tell Eric. You're not sure Eric will come find you, especially after the words you two exchanged. But it's better to be safe than sorry. He's too unpredictable. And he'll likely get over his faerie obsession soon. When that happens, he'll be groveling at your feet. You're not sure about that, but you can't help hoping.
"That's a wonderful idea." The older man says with a breathy sigh. His voice is soft and his eyes are wide as you stare into them. But you don't recognize the emotion in his eyes. It doesn't seem like he's feeling anything. He's got these dead fish eyes. The other strange thing about him is the smile across his lips. He seems very happy with this situation. Too happy, especially for someone who's being brainwashed. And he's not just happy, he's absolutely thrilled about being in your presence. It would be flattering if it wasn't so creepy.
"Isn't it?" You stroke the side of his face and he leans into your palm. He hums softly like he agrees. This is your first time glamouring someone. You're not sure if it's working or if you're just seducing this man. All you know is that he seems to like whatever you're doing.
When you pull away from the man, his eyes follow yours. Huh, maybe it did work. Nobody said glamour was this easy. You would've done it earlier if that was the case. You could go rob a bank. And you might if you feel like it. There's nothing you can't do. But first, you need to get into that coffin in front of you.
The man will have to deal with getting you into an airplane. You're sure it'll be fine. Dead bodies are transported all the time, or so you've heard. And he's a funeral director. He's got all the resources he needs. But then again, you don't know this man. He could've resisted your glamour attempt. He might not even be able to get you to the airport. Shit. Maybe you should've thought about this more.
He's a funeral director though. You'll try not to worry about the process too much. But it'll be weird to sit in a coffin for like 24 hours. Especially since you haven't fed.
Fuck it, if you want this to work, you'll have to glamour more people. This man won't be able to do it himself. Maybe you should find some vampires to arrange transportation for you. Or you could just head across America and lay low. There's no need to go to another country. Eric, Pam, and everyone else would be expecting that. Washington, Oregon, Maine, or New York.
"Are you getting inside?" The man asks, blinking innocently at you. You aren't listening. You're too busy thinking about what state you want to live in. He repeats his question and you roll your eyes. You tap your foot against the concrete floor. Maybe Washington could be nice. You've heard Seattle is gloomy and rainy. But if you really cared about the weather, you'd just go somewhere in England. And that's out of the question after meeting Nora.
Nora doesn't represent England, and she isn't all that bad. She kind of got stuck with Eric like you got stuck with Pam. But they've known each other for a few centuries. She has a very deep relationship with him. One you can't understand. They seem to love each other. You're not sure if they're in love though.
