(coming with two longer chapters cause i left you guys hanging. i've been dealing with some things. love you guys so much and thanks for reading. anyway, hope you guys are having a good week.)
You grab the door handle. You're finally clean, dry, and wrapped in a soft towel. It feels great, but now you're even more tired than before. You had to drain the bath and run it a few times until the water cleared up. Whoever has to deal with the bills won't be pleased. You didn't hear any doors open, so you're sure Eric is still here. You'd know if he left. The doors in this house are so damn heavy, there's no way you wouldn't hear them.
It sucks to think about him so much. He's always in the back of your mind. It feels like he's sucking all the energy out of you. And it's not supposed to be that way. You don't want to focus on a man all the time. What you should do is find out why Sarah's cousin died. You haven't been thinking about Jenna enough. All you know is that Russell murdered her. Sarah got that necklace back, but she still doesn't have closure. You think Russell got into a fight with Eric before that could happen. Maybe it was after. You do not recall. Your experience at Russell's mansion was strange. Lots of important people were there and you don't even remember their names. Even though you're a vampire, you still block things like that out. Shit, you hardly remember the night you died. But of course, you remember all the shit Eric put you through. You might as well move on and date Bill at this point. But he would probably bore you to death. How are you gonna find a man? Especially one that doesn't mind your undead status.
You step into your new room and frown at the bed. Maybe a part of you expected this, but you're not fuckin' happy about it.
He's lying on the bed with his head against a pillow, naked as the day he was born. His cock is impressive, almost enough for you to ask for his hand in marriage. He seems happy to see you, based on the way his length stands at attention. The size of it is a bit intimidating, though. At least you're not a human anymore, cause that would hurt so bad. You blink twice to stop those salacious thoughts from arriving. If you go down that road, you know there's no coming back.
Is this the right time to thank him for buying you a house? Sincerely this time? You think that'd be awkward because your first instinct was to kick him out. Naked man on the bed? Frightening. And hard? Even worse. Before you even touch his dick, you need to have a conversation or two. Or a lot more than that. He's super old, and you're sure he's amazing in bed. But you don't feel comfortable doing that sort of thing right now, whatever it is that he wants you to do. You thought you did, but standing here and facing it is different. You're frustrated with yourself, but you're more frustrated with him. How could he think this is appropriate at all? It's creepy. You could blame this behavior on the faerie blood, but that wouldn't be right.
"What—"
Before you can finish your sentence, Eric is gone. To be honest, you're a little disappointed. You wish you made the most of the situation, but at least you're not anxious anymore. Well, that's a lie. He's still in the house. You rush over to the closet that you didn't bother looking through when you arrived. The double doors might be hiding some nice pajamas. You pull the doors open and immediately scowl. A sigh leaves your mouth as you take in the size of the closet. The urge to shake your head passes. You turn the light on and walk inside. There are shelves filled with shoes and handbags. You don't think you'll touch half of that stuff. There's a giant, expensive dresser in the center of the room with thin drawers that are likely filled with jewelry. You can't even touch that thing. Maybe it's underwear instead of diamonds. You hope so because you don't even wear jewelry. There are some empty spaces on the shelves, probably in case you decide to add to the collection.
There's another pair of doors against the far wall, and you're overwhelmed. It's all too much. Will you wear half of this stuff or even use it? You don't really use the money you made from the bar. It's so weird to have access to all this shit without working for it. You don't need $30k every week for answering phone calls and taking inventory. You should be making like $10 an hour for the work you do. Most of the time, you just sit and watch whatever movies they saved. 'Maybe I can ask Sarah to move in with me so we can share this giant house. I don't know how she'll feel about leaving Jenna's old house, though. She might not want to do that. She might feel closer to her while she's staying over there.'
