Chapter 29

As I lay down to sleep that night I felt that something was off I couldn't figure it out though.

I awoke with a sharp pain in my stomach.  

"AH!" I screamed.  

My eyes shot open to stare at Melanie!  

"Game on" she grinned and left.  

I grabbed the stick and yanked it out.  

"AH!" I cried out in more pain. 

The door burst open.  

"Kat!" Paul yelled coming over to help me.  

"What happened?!" he panicked.  

"Melanie stabbed me with a stake" I gasped out.  

He mumbled something I couldn't make out.  

"Are you ok?"  

"I'm better than before...anyway have you seen Jess?" 

"No she's gone and so is Michael" 

"Are they missing?" 

"I think so, I went looking but there scent is old" 

I nodded. 

"Melanie said something to me" I said.  

"What did she say?" 

"Game on...she took Jess and Michael" 

"She's up to something" 

"I bet she wants to kill me" 

"She will not!" 

"I know" 

I smiled.  

"I'll go see if I can find Jess and Michael. I'll be back in an hour" 

"Ok" 

He left.  

I needed to get out of my blood stained top. After I took it off I went for a quick bath. 

I dried my hair and got dressed.  

I looked at my clock.  

It's been over 2 hours.  

How did I manage to take that long in a bath? and how was Paul not back yet? 

I went down to the hall were everyone is.  

"Hey Ben have you seen Paul?" I asked.  

"Yeah he passed out and the new chick dragged Him off somewhere" 

"Melanie?" 

"Yeah her" 

"Thanks" 

He nodded and walked away.  

Why did she take everyone away?  

What was she up to? 

I searched for his scent.  

I caught it at the nurses office and went out to the park near by.  

I followed his scent into the woods.  

The deeper I went the more cautious I got.  

I got into a clearing.  

I looked about.  

"Kat!" that was Jess.  

I ran into the the middle of the clearing.  

There Jess was, lying on the ground with Michael and Paul passed out.  

"Oh my God! What the hell happened?!" I yelled.  

"Melanie. She injected something into us and now we are here" 

"God! Jess. Are you ok?" 

"Yeah...she's here" 

I spun around to her.  

"You know it was a good plan to bring you out and kill you" she said.  

I didn't say anything.  

"And it was so easy"  

"If you wanted to kill me then why not when you first had me in the bathroom?" 

"I wanted Paul to suffer you changing then suffer watching me kill you and you wont be coming back" 

"Go to hell"  

"I am already there" 

She jumped at me knocking me to the ground.  

She put a stake though my leg.  

"AH!" I screamed.  

"Never got taught to fight" she laughed getting up.  

"Kat!" Jess sobbed.  

"I'm ok" I pulled the stake out crying out.  

"Kat!" Paul's voice rang.  

I got up.  

"Melanie I swear to God, if you don't stop I'll kill you" Paul said. 

"Good luck while your weakened" 

I lunged myself at her pushing the stake into the place close to her heart.  

"AH! Your scraping my heart!" she cried out.  

"You move your dead, got it?"  

She nodded. 

I got up making my way over to Jess, Michael and Paul.  

"Kat watch!"  

I spun and grabbed the stake off of Melanie and put it right through her heart.  

"This wasn't planed!" she screeched falling to the ground.  

She turned grey and her vains took over her face and she collapsed dead.  

"Kat!" Jess sobbed.  

I went down and hugged her tightly.  

"You killed her! You actually killed her" 

"I know" 

"Kat" Paul whispered. 

I let Jess go and ran to him.  

He wrapped his arms tightly around my waist.  

"You killed her. How in hell did you do it?" 

"I don't know" 

He lightly kissed me.  

I kissed him back before my phone vibrated, I ignored it for a second while I kissed him, it had been so long since we did this.

I looked at my phone now.

"AH!" I screamed jumping out of Paul's arms.  

"What?!" 

"My mom is in labor!" I screamed.
