Surfacers

I yawn and stretch my arms out on my mecha. I blink a few times to wake myself up and I continue on after Eli. Its just us two and I have no clue why he woke me up.

 " Eli are you going to tell me why you woke me up at 2;00?" I ask him, making a sudden swerve to avoid hitting a rock that was invisible in the dark, besides the little light the stars gave off. (Lets pretend that Slugterra has stars and clouds)

 I jump over a river, continuing after Eli on his mecha. I can see him ahead of me, suddenly breaking. I do as well but I end up getting thrown off of it. I land on my back, and Eli helps me up.

 "Watch." He whispers, pointing at something. A sudden flash of light shows up, illuminating a cave, the drop.

 I look at him, "Did you see that?" I question, and he nods.

 I load Charlotte and Eli loads Spinner, both of us being lifted silently up into the cave by the webs. Iris hops into my Blaster and I hold it out, as I step silently around the cave. The light flashes again and I duck behind a rock. I look around and I see that it's actually coming from up the drop, to the top. I curiously look up and I can see the light getting closer and closer, and I can see eventually its a person falling, with a flashlight in their limp hand. I scream and I quickly shoot Bubbles who catches him/her in her mouth.

 Bubbles opens her mouth and I pull out an unconscious person, but I can't make out any features in the dark.

 "Eli! Over here!" I yell and he walks over to investigate. He picks up the guy and I shoot Charlotte a second time, making a large web below us. 

 I jump down onto the web and Eli comes next, and we mount up, riding back to the clubhouse around 3 am.

 Once we get there, I plop the body onto the couch, about to turn on a light.

 "Please don't be dead, please don't be dead." I whisper and when the light turns on I gasp staring down at the familiar face.

 "E-Eli." I say, at a loss for words.

 Thats all I remember before I blacked out.
