Quickly they followed behind, their lavender haired friend speed walking as he spoke over them, not truly caring for their opinions, instead they messed with their bandaids, turning their gaze to the red tiled floors, a familiar loneliness settling in them, far to wrapped up to properly notice the eyes staring at them.

Finally reaching the after-school marshal arts club, they sat down, pulled out school work, and waited outside of the gym and did their work neatly, focusing on only that. As a hand taps their shoulder, their head turns quickly, looking at the upper classmen, a popular student by the name of Tamaki Suoh. "Hello! You're Satoshi, correct?" The blonde boy smiled brightly at them. They turned their head back to the worksheet, nodding softly as they tried to go back to work. "I wanted to ask you if you'd like to join my host club? I already have a few who will be joining!" He explained, sounding greatly excited and cheery.

"I'll have to decline senpai." Their voice was even and calm as they rejected him, simply trying to focus on work, causing the blonde to frown but seemingly become more determined. "But think about the upsides!" He smiled, sitting down by Satoshi before contuining. "You'll earn more friends, maybe even a girlfriend, you'll have people fawn and dote on you lovingly, and you could play any video games you want!" He explained, getting more excited as he continued on.

Even hearing this, Satoshi shook their head no, trying to regain focus. "Isamu is a great friend. I don't need your club." They mumbled, "I will not stop asking til you agree." Tamaki smiled, determined to friend Satoshi, the door of the marshal arts gym opened, causing Satoshi to scatter, putting away their stuff and standing up quickly. The lavender haired boy walked out, slightly sweaty, but elegant seeming nonetheless. "Oh, hello tamaki senpai, what are you doing at the middle school?" He tilted his head curiously, getting close to Satoshi, holding into their arm tightly. "Simply visiting, I wanted Satoshi-san to join my host club!" Tamaki explained, not noticing isamu's grip tighten on Satoshi's arm.

"Really? Are we talking about the same Satoshi?" Isamu laughed, "Satoshi is far too shy and clutzy to ever be a host!" Tamaki's smile faltered, "I disagree, Satoshi is a sweet and smart person. They'd be a great host! A natural! I do need to be going though, have a wonderful day, Satoshi, Isamu, waving goodbye as he left the two. "I'd really appreciate it if you wouldn't talk to him, tamaki isn't all he seems to be, you know." Isamu warned.

"What do you mean? Isn't he the son of your fathers business partner?" Satoshi asked, confused at the comment. "He is, but he's also a player and an attention seeker. You'd be better not to associate with him. That's not even mentioning the fact he's the illegitimate son of the Ouran high chairmen. I care about you, I don't want you getting caught up with that." Isamu's hand went from their arm up to their shoulder, rubbing it lightly as they walked home.

Satoshi began thinking about it, spacing out as they focused on the topic, wondering if isamu was right, but isamu was usually always right anyway... "Hey! Don't ignore me! I was just warning you. I don't want you hurt after all. Sorry, i'm always the bad guy.." isamu huffed, pulling his hand off Satoshi quickly, shoving them slightly. They quickly reached over, grabbing the lavender haired boys hand. "That's not what I meant, really! I was just spacing out. You know how I am, I'm sorry, i was just thinking!" Isamu looked at the brunette beside him.

"Are you trying to say I'm lying? I know what you meant. I'm not stupid, Takaji! Whatever walk hone yourself." Isamu huffed, walking off quickly, leaving Satoshi behind, hurt hearing their last name be used in such an angry tone. They listened, though. They walked home alone, and no one to talk to tired and angry with themselves.

Days went by, and isamu ignored them more, and more and everyone around seemed to do just the same, everyone but tamaki who contuined and contuined to ask the same question. When isamu stopped showing up, tamaki was all that was left. When he came back to them freshman year, they only had one choice.

"Satoshi! Will you join my club -" They turned quickly looking over at tamaki, it was one of the few times they ever looked him in the eyes. "Yes. I will join your host club, tamaki, under one condition, though.." They interrupted, surprising him. "Of course, what would you want?" Tamaki smiled, "I can play any game at any time during club hours, and if I somehow attract customers, they can play the games with me." They explained, getting a quick and excited nod immediately agreeing to the conditions. "Mhm! Put em here, friend." Tamaki smiled, happy and friendly, reaching his hand out for Satoshi to take.

"Deal." Satoshi nodded, shaking tamaki's hand firmly, feeling as if making a deal with the devil. A very nice version it the devil, but the devil nonetheless.

Satoshi looked up, hearing the music door open, shining light in their eyes. A person with fluffy brown hair and glasses stood in the doorway, seemingly nervous and confused. Something was off about the person. They just couldn't figure it out.
