Laughter bubbled through the small monumental park, as the wind ruffled the napkins causing beel to clumsily hold them down with a thin crystal glass cup , the others laughed at his uncoordinated movements endearingly.
Lilith watched from the end of the table her gaze turning poisonous as she watched everyone interact, she would occasionally straighten up and smile when someone turned her way before she went back to glowering.
Jealousy pooled into the pit of her stomach watching Asmodeus and y/n giggle together as they threw small grapes at each other. She picked at her own food stabbing it with the smooth polished silver fork.
She skewered her own grape shoving it into her mouth as she chewed aggressively, I can't believe I'm getting replaced with someone as dull as her she thought critically. She resisting the urge to roll her eyes as she noticed Levi steal a fruit from y/ns plate.
He gave her a cheeky smile and y/n reached over and swatted his shoulder playfully, Lilith straitened giving a charming smile as she held out her fruit bowl "Awh don't hit poor Levi he's a general after all we should all be lending him food for strength" she teased as Levi held up his hand
"No thanks I don't actually want the fruit I was just joking around with y/n" he chuckled feeling awkward at her random words of praise.
Lilith retracted her arm her grip tightening on the bowl. How dare I get replaced with that wingless little brat, she thought glaring at her food her appetite having left her the second she saw y/n.
She's always had this friend group to herself, Belphie and Beel were practically brothers to her as she spent most of her time with them but her main goal would have been to marry Lucifer morning star or Asmodeus Jewel of the heavens.
The grip on her utensil tightened as she shoved a peice of food into her mouth mindlessly, she couldn't believe that Asmodeus would have chosen a wingless fool over someone like her, someone he's known for almost seven decades and with status.
Lilith brought her pale hand up to rub the tip of her ear, it was something she found herself doing often as a nervous or stressed tick she's developed. Lucifer looked over at her his dark brows knitting in concern.
"Are you alright Lilith?" He questioned grabbing her empty glass and filling it with ice cold water, she mumbled a thank you then sighed "I'm alright, just a little tired" she said forcing a yawn to bubble from her lips as she glanced up at him through her light colored lashes.
He hummed refilling his own glass and setting the glass pitcher on the wooden table with care, "don't hesitate to talk to me with any matters that concern you" he offered making Lilith send him a soft smile as her chest warmed from the open affection. "Of course"
The lunch had continued like it usually did with everyone sharing what they did that week and how they intended to spent the rest of it and then of course they planned on who's house or where they should meet up next time around.
Lilith smiled a glint sparking in her eyes "say y/n I heard this one bakery was really good I think we should go, then maybe check out some of the little shops in town once you have some time off of work" her voice smoothly reached the ears of everyone at the table as they looked over to y/n.
Y/n gave her a bit of a weary look knowing how hard it was for the Angel to adjust to her presence but she deemed it as progress and nodded her head, "that sounds amazing Lilith I will definitely send you a note when I have time" Lilith flashed her a charming smile when belphegor spoke up.
"So we are doing it at yours next time? I want some of your famous HoneyCream roll cake" he joked everyone collectively chuckled knowing that it was one of y/n's best dishes.
she smiled then gave a small wink "I'll cook and make that cake you guys both like" she grinned making Lilith withhold her frown, ugh what a pick me she thought sullenly turning away slightly her pink tinted lips jutting out childishly
Y/n gave Lilith a weary smile before waving to the remaining angels "bye guys" Asmo rejoined her wrapping an arm around her waist and leading her away "it seems as though you'll be late" he told her but no hint of regret could be heard in his tone
She nudged him playfully before releasing his hand tilting her head up to give him a peck on the cheek "goodbye I'll see you tonight yeah?" She told him not really asking as she already knew the answer, Asmo nodded "I'll see you later my dear"
Y/n watched as he left gracefully probably going to continue whatever he was doing before he came to pick her up for their group lunch. Y/n felt a faint blush bloom along her neck and cheeks as her fellow angels began to crowed around her.
Her coworkers gave her all a knowing look and curious gazes "when are you guys going to tie the knot?" Her desk mate asked curiously twirling a thin pencil between her fingers as she gave her a cheeky grin
Y/n rolled her eyes scooting closer to her desk looking through the Celestial realms newest records, "we will get engaged when we want to we have almost an endless amount of time" she told them waving off their nosey glances
They sighed from the lack of information they had gotten from her response and ambled back over to their designated desks, y/n sighed heavily holding her head in her hand as she scanned the papers.
One of the downsides of being with Asmo was all the popularity that came with it, but to get it was definitely worth it. she sighed flipping the page so she could glance over the back. She signed it and went to the next packet of paper.

Y/n finished what work she was assigned for the day and then walked home wrapping her jacket around herself, she looked at the clock her brows furrowed lightly "hm Asmo almost always picks me up" she mumbled unlocking the door as she neared her apartment that she shared with Asmo.
She opened it only to be greeted by the scent of her favorite diner, she chuckled "that explains it" she told herself hanging her jacket on the coat rack and the coming over to the kitchen sending him a soft smile. "I'm back home"
