More than lust

It had been a few weeks since the gathering, y/n's days have been boring yet fulfilling as she balanced her celestial duties and her private life. Currently she sat at her desk idly glancing through papers as she filled them out accordingly 

She reached over dipping her quill into the black ink pot, her e/c eyes trained on the paper before scribbling in the correct information and setting it on top of the other finished papers. She sighed plopping her feather back into the ink, a droplet oozing down the side of the glass bottle

Her eyes followed it lazily watching it pool onto her desk before wiping it away with a small rag, she glanced at the time releasing a small huff of exasperated air. 

"I got done earlier than I expected"

She mumbled to herself begging to gather the paper's neatly fixing her desk before standing and pushing her chair back into place, before setting the papers in their designated spot, she grasped her bag and walked down the steps of the building pausing when she saw Lilith. 

Lilith noticed her and glanced up a tight lipped smile adorning her lips, "ah y/n I see you've finished, are you on your lunch break or are you finished for the day?"

She questioned lifting her plucked eyebrow with a small tilt of her head, y/n blinked at her for a moment unsure as to why the angel was even here but nonetheless gave her a friendly smile "hey Lilith, yeah I actually finished work early, is there anything you need?"

Lilith lifted a hand waving away her concern "no I don't need anything, I decided that we should finally go see those shops and whatnot" she said glancing at her placidly

Y/n lifted her eyebrows slightly but smiled "oh? Yeah I'd love that" she said walking down the rest of the steps to meet Lilith at the bottom, the latter smiled and gestured with their hand for y/n to follow. 

"It's been a while since we had a nice chat hasn't it?" Lilith said idly as she fell into step with y/n, glancing around the busy pathways as they sidestepped other angels who were bustling from place to place, the sky bright above up the occasional cloud floating by. 

"Yes it had been a while" y/n affirmed awkwardly walking alongside the blonde, the two walked in silence a moment longer before Lilith glanced over at y/n, her gaze sharp  as she analyzed the way y/n taking note of the way she  walked, the way she tilted her head; everything about her was scrutinzed by her cold gaze.

"You know, y/n, I've been meaning to ask you something." She broke the silence, her voice soft and deceptively gentle.

Y/n glancing wearily at the blonde lifted a h/c eyebrow at her, she knew that the blond didn't hold the fondest of feelings for her, and this meeting was all too suspicious, but she believed that maybe the angel was finally warming up to her. 

"What would you like to know?" She asked her voice conveying her curiosity, Lilith internally smirked, her eyes narrowing ever so slightly. She took a moment to compose herself before she spoke again

"Well, I've been wondering about you and Asmodeus..." she trailed off, her tone taking on a hint of subtle maliciousness which she casually disguised as innocence. 

Y/n's paused for a minute before falling back into step with her, "uh..what about me and Asmo?" She questioned  wearily a hint of defensiveness in her tone. 

Lilith pretended to think for a moment before letting out a small chuckle. "Oh, nothing much, I was just wondering how it's been going between the two of you" she began keeping the innocent hint to her tone as she smiled

"You know with him having so many admirers and all, it must be hard on you, don't you ever get jealous?" She questioned a mischievous glint hidden in her eyes, y/n squinted in suspicion but brushed it off as they turned down a pathway
