Chapter 6

Saturday morning
At Cade residence

"It's so irresponsible of you to sleep out, without telling me where you went."

"Mum, I'm sorry. Besides, I'm a grown man now. Cut me some slack ok."

"Yeah, yeah you're right. You're a grown up now, I just can't get myself to fully let you go. But tell me, where were you last night?"

" I was out with Jake."

"Jake‽" She asked surprised.

"Yes mum, Jake. What?, I'm not allowed to see my twin anymore?"

"No, it... it's just I didn't expect... You know what, never mind. I hope you had a good time."

"Ok. I'll be in my room. I'm going to go get a shower."

He said and left to his room. He got into the shower and minutes later he came out. Just as he stepped out of the bathroom, he heard a loud crashing sound, like glass breaking and all.

"Mum? What's going on out there? Is the cat giving you trouble again?" He asked, but got no response back, which was unusual. He quickly put on a shirt, a pair of shorts and walked out of his room. He got to the kitchen, only to see his mum on the ground with foam coming out her mouth.

"What the fuck! Mum! Mum!" He called out to her. When there was no response, he picked her up and took her to his car, then drove to the hospital.

"Sarah! Sarah! What in the world‽"

Siara was in shock, seeing Sarah's motionless body on the floor. She didn't hesitate for even a second, she picked her up and took her outside where Mia was waiting by the car.
"Mia! Mia! Open the door."

She called out. Mia rushed and opened the door as Siara came trying to put Sarah inside the back.

"Wtf Siara, what happened?"

"I don't know, just get in and let's go to the hospital NOW!"

Mia immediately got into the car and drove away to the hospital.

At the hospital

Standing in the corridor, Siara couldn't get herself to sit. She was restless. She had no other family. If Sarah goes, then she has nothing to live for. She kept pacing back and forth, with Mia consoling her.
"Oh for peace sake Mia, don't tell me to calm down. This is all your fault. If I was home with her, I could've reacted faster. I would've seen that something was wrong with her."

"That was not fair."

"Yeah, it's not. And it also won't be fair if Sarah also gets ripped from me. And now don't act like you care."

"Why the hell do you think I'm here then?"

"I don't know, you tell me."

"Cause I care Siara."

"Well, I didn't ask you to."

"Siara, you're hurt, I need you to calm down."

"Don't ask me to calm down. You have no idea how hard it is for me."

"Yeah, I don't, and that's why I'm here. It's why I'm still your best friend. It's why I'm still here, tolerating your outburst. I would've said wiping your tears, but there aren't any tears, so I'll just skip that part."

"My outburst was uncalled for. Just, bear with me. I'm going through a lot right now."

"I'm trying my best not to snap your head off. Well, you're good for now."
