Remy preferred to stay in the shadows or at the end of the classroom.
This way neither the teachers knew who she was nor did her peers.

Somehow, Remy was accustomed to being alone.
With her inner monologue always on, Remy was rarely alone.

"Is everybody watching me right now?"
"Oh my god, that guy is looking at me. Why is he looking at me? Do I have some thing on my face? Maybe its my clothes."
Those were the usual thoughts going through Remy's head.

As the class ended Remy was waiting for everyone to make their escape, trying not to blow her "cover" by getting out of the class with everyone else.

The professor, Mr. Harris ends the class with a joke because he thinks he's funny for some reason.

For Remy, it was just another day; jotting down notes and trying to sink as deep down in that chair as gravity would allow and sticking to the darker corner of the classroom
