You sat beside Miguel while one of the girls attended to his wound.

"I'm sorry..." You muttered as Miguel looked at you.

"Shouldn't it be me apologising?" He replied with a small chuckle.

"What have I gotten myself into, Miguel?" You whispered with worry as he sighed.

His leg was bandaged up and he asked everyone to leave you both alone.

He sat up more and held onto your hand.

"It's okay. I didn't think this would be a problem... But, if I tell you the truth you cannot tell anyone. It'll put everyone here in danger, do you understand Y/N?" He asked as you nodded a little.

"Say you understand." He demanded as you looked into his eyes.

"Yes, I understand." You whispered making him smile and rub his thumb over your hand.

"I'm a police officer, I'm under cover and I have been for four years now. We knew about human trafficking happening in this city so they sent Macy and I in. It went deeper than we ever thought, but... We're close and even closer now thanks to you." He said as you looked at him in shock.

"I know this is a lot to take in... And I was never going to tell you but after tonight, I know you deserve the truth." He said as you nodded a little and tried to take in the information.

"So, do you want to tell me how you knew how to fight and kill?" He asked, squeezing your hand a little.

He could see you were nervous.

"You don't have to tell me." He replied as you shook your head.

"No... You told me your truth, I want to tell you mine." You said before taking a deep breath in to calm yourself.

"When I was twelve my father sold me to human traffickers..." You whispered as Miguel looked at you in shock.

"Oh god... Y/N." He whispered taking your other hand to comfort you.

"I won't go into details but you can imagine... When I turned eighteen I took a gun and I went on a rampage, I killed anyone in my way and lived my life on the run. Killing, stealing and doing whatever I could to stay alive. When she said... That you were doing the same thing I was that angry eighteen year old girl again, wishing to kill anyone in my path." You whispered, you hadn't muttered the words of your past to anyone.

Miguel slowly pulled you into a hug as you hugged him back.

"I'm so sorry, Bebita. I don't know what's going to happen now, but I promise I won't leave, okay?" He whispered slowly stroking your back.

"Thank you." You whispered before he leant away and held your face.

"You're so beautiful, how could anyone hurt you?" He asked his thumb running over your lip.

He slowly leant forward, pausing for a moment as if to ask your permission.

You leant in closer and kissed him desperately before he pulled you to sit on his lap.

You continued kissing him as he held you.

"I don't... I can't go too far tonight." You whispered as Miguel smiled and ran his finger down the side of your face.

"We won't do anything you don't want to do, okay? How about you stay at my place tonight, I'll order in dinner, we can watch a movie and forget about everything for a bit." He suggested as you stared down at him.

"Are you sure?" You whispered making him chuckle softly.

"Yes, baby. I got you into this situation, it's only fair I take care of you." He said as you smiled a little.

"That might be nice... I don't want to be alone tonight." You muttered, leaning in to kiss him again.

"Come on, I'll take you home, darling."
