The weeks went by and soon before I knew it, October was here. The wind was starting to chill and you could sense everyone's excitement as Halloween approached. Everyone at Hogwarts now knew of my scar and my story. The Hufflepuffs, Ravenclaws and Gryffindors were all very interested in my story and were very impressed, the Slytherins, however, thought of it as a joke. Every time I walked to Transfiguration with Ron, Harry and Hermione, Pansy Parkinson would laugh at me and call me a joke. I did my very best to ignore all of these comments. The only Slytherin, who had not made fun of me, was Draco Malfoy. I know, very surprising.
Hermione, Ron, Harry and I were all sitting in the Great Hall, the day before Halloween, having lunch.
"You know I just realized this, but the only Slytherin who hasn't called you names, Harmony, is Draco Malfoy," said Ron, surprise in his voice.
"Yeah I realized that too," said Harry, agreeing with Ron.
"Well maybe he just needs to come up with insults for Harry and he doesn't want to add to his stress," said Hermione.
"That could be a possibility," I said.
"Maybe that or he has a thing for you," said Ron, smiling at me.
Harry tensed up and I could feel his discomfort.
"I highly doubt that," I said quickly.
We made our way to Defense against the Dark Arts. It was actually quit boring even though Snape was teaching it. He only favored the Slytherins, so during the whole class Snape would make fun of us.
"I have made a seating chart for you, so don't sit down yet," said Snape.
"A seating chart, we need a seating chart?" asked Ron in a whisper.
"I guess so. I just hope I don't get paired with someone I hate," I said, and right at that moment Snape called,
"Harmony Wilmond and Draco Malfoy."
"Well there you go," I said to Ron and he started laughing.
I took my seat next to Draco, but didn't glance at him. Snape got through the list and Harry was paired with Pansy Parkinson. I wasn't jealous because I knew he absolutely hated her. I glanced back at Harry and gave him a flirtatious smile, and he returned it. I glanced back to the front of the room ready for the lesson.
"You know, if every minute you're going to look at Potter, I'm going to ask Snape to change my seat," said Draco.
"I am not going to look at him every minute," I replied back to him rather coldly.
"Really, then why did you just give him a flirtatious stare?" asked Malfoy.
"Because... because it's a code for something. You wouldn't understand," I replied shortly.
"Whatever... I know your dating Potter, I just thought you could have done better," said Malfoy darkly.
"Oh yeah, like with who?" I asked.
"Well... I don't know... just anyone but Potter," he said, staring at me deeply.
"Whatever, like you could do better than Parkinson," I said.
"And who do you think would be better," he replied, a smirk on his face.
"I don't know anyone but her," I said, and it was true. Anyone but Parkinson would be better.
"Sure, whatever," said Malfoy, returning his gaze to the front.
I didn't reply to his comment, I didn't want to start a conversation with him. Snape kept talking and talking, it was getting really boring. Finally the signal came for us to leave and go to Herbology, the last class of the day. I quickly got out of my seat and practically ran to Harry's side and grabbed his hand.
