The next morning, Hermione woke me up and I literally had tear stains on my face. I remembered what had happened last night. I am not going to let this get to me and I am not going show that I had been thinking about him, I thought.
"Harmony, are you alright?" she asked me with concern in her voice.
"Yeah, I just need a shower," I said getting up and getting a shower.
It felt so good letting the warm water hit my face and body. Should I tell Harry what had happened? Well Dumbledore already knew that Draco was supposed to kill him. But why wasn't Dumbledore defending himself? I got out of the shower and got dressed in my uniform. I went down to the common room and saw that Hermione, Ron and Harry were waiting for me on the couch.
"Ready to go to breakfast?" asked Harry taking my hand and leading me out the portrait hole.
"Yeah," I said in a barely audible voice.
"Harmony did you study for your quiz?" asked Hermione.
Harry looked at her and gave her a baffled look.
"Hermione she came in the common room with tears down her face. The last thing she is going to think about is a stupid quiz," said Harry.
We finally got to the Great Hall. I wrapped my arms around Harry's waist. I was going to show Draco that I didn't need him. As we entered the Hall I looked over at the Slytherin table and he was sitting there reading the Daily Prophet. When he saw me come in he gave me a sympathetic look. I didn't look twice at him. I sat down at the Gryffindor table and Harry sat next to me and Ron and Hermione opposite.
"I did study for the quiz by the way, Hermione," I said, my voice hoarse.
"I knew you might," she said and smiled at me.
"Hey do you want to talk about what happened last night?" asked Harry.
"No right now, Harry." I said. I didn't want to think about the situation anymore.
"Alright, but let me know when you want to talk," he said, grabbing a piece of toast.
"I will," I said, picking up my notes for the quiz in Transfiguration.
"Harmony, I can't wait to meet your parents over the holidays," said Harry.
"I know, they are very excited to meet all of you guys," I said smiling.
I really can't wait for my parents to finally meet Harry. It had been about 16 years since they saw him. They had never met Ron or Hermione, but I knew they would really like them.
"So how do you think you're going to do on the quiz?" asked Hermione.
"I think I'm going to pass it," I said.
"Yeah it is really easy," she said.
"Harmony, can it talk to you?" asked and oddly familiar voice. I turned around and saw Draco Malfoy standing behind me. "It's about the potion."
I knew it wasn't about the potion or our project. We finished that weeks ago. He wanted to discuss what happened last night.
"Yeah, sure," I said getting up. "I will see you guys in Transfiguration."
Draco led the way down the corridor until we entered a deserted classroom. He turned and faced me. He looked so fragile I just wanted to run to him and tell him everything was going to be alright. But I can't do that and I won't. Dumbledore and Harry need me right now, I thought.
"Harmony, please you have to listen," said Draco, taking a step toward me.
"Draco, I can't do this... we can't do this... Dumbledore and Harry need me," I said.
