Alexa knew how things had escalated. She had escaped the manor and was back at Hogwarts. She hadn't seen her sister since her return and she was worried.

She knew all too well what had been happening while she was away. And she felt bad that she hadn't been able to protect her.

Alexa had cut ties with her family. She knew it was for the best. She wasn't wanting to deal with them anymore. Not after all what had happened.

She knew things had been hard. But she had Severus. And he had been her rock. She was thankful as she knew she couldn't have gotten through it without him. 

Alexa didn't know what was going on with them both. Where they stood in their relationship. But she knew that it was complicated.

She knew they both needed to sit and talk about it. But she just had to get him to sit down and actually talk. She was tired of him being so broody.

She needed to see Grace. To know she was okay. She felt awful for not seeing her. But she knew how dangerous things were. And the last thing she needed was her mother turning up at the school.

All she knew was that things were hard. And she had no idea how to make it all work out. Especially as she felt so alone.

Morning came and she woke in bed. Severus wasn't there. She rolled her eyes and climbed out. She found the brooding man sitting in an armchair by the fire.

She walked over. "I think we need to talk about what's going on with us. There's clearly a connection. And I want you. I know how things have been lately. But I can't help but want you," she told him.

Severus looked to her. He knew they had connection. And he wanted to be with her. But he knew it was too risky. "Now is not the time to talk about this. We can discuss it at a later date," he said.

Alexa rolled her eyes. "As always. You're brushing it off. It's what you do best," she mumbled as she stood and walked out.

She knew it was making her head feel messy. And she hated it.

Alexa walked into the hospital wing. Grace was still there as the torture had done something to her. She smiled as she looked to her. "Hey you. Sorry I haven't been to see you. I've been a little busy."

Grace nodded as she sighed. "With Snape. It's okay. I don't blame you. You're wanting to be with him. So you're gonna do what you can to be with him. Despite what people will say," she mumbled.

Alexa looked to her. She saw how she wasn't the same Grace she had looked after. "I know what you've been through. But I'm here. You can talk to me," she said.

"I'm fine. I'm always fine."

Alexa walked back into Severus' chambers. He looked to her and spoke. "You have a visitor," he told her.

"Huh? Who?"

"Me."

Alexa turned and paled. She frowned. "What are you doing here?"
