Winky? Are You Serious?

Taehyung is holding Tannie, checking for any injuries, and he finds blood on his fur. He starts crying, "Tannie is hurt, so we must get him and Min Holly to the vet!"

Jungkook shouts, "Who's beast of a dog is this?! Come and get him now!"

The man who had gotten bitten stands up, his face red from shame. "I'm so sorry. I just got him."

Jungkook glares at him, "Don't you know the rules of the dog park? First time dogs need to be on a leash."

"I'm sorry, I didn't know."

"It's right there on the sign at the gate before you come in!"

"Call off your dog NOW!" Shouts Yoongi.

"Winky, come here, boy."

The bully dog looks up at Bam, who still stands over him with his teeth bared. "Um, I'm sorry. Please let me go to my new dad. Please don't hurt me again."

The bully hears his name being called. Bam laughs, "Winky? Are you serious? Wouldn't Brutus or Killer fit you better?"

"Hey, man, I didn't pick the name he gave me. The one I had before he adopted me was Butch. I liked that one better."

Bam lets him up, and they stand face to face, "You were a shelter dog?"

"Yeah, my family didn't want me after the baby came."

"Why are you such a bully?"

"I've been scrapping most of my life from shelter to shelter in order to survive. I've never been to a dog park before. I thought it was just another shelter prison yard. There it was, beat up or get beat up. I'm so sorry."

"It's a rough life being a shelter dog, especially one that doesn't get adopted right away.  But these are little dogs you decided to pick on. Yet I saw the fear in your eyes when I knocked you off my hyung. Does it make you feel strong picking on little dogs?"

"I, I thought if I established myself as dominant over the little ones, they would spread how badass I was to the bigger dogs, and I wouldn't have to worry about being bullied."

"But you were the one doing the bullying!"

"Yeah, and I see it's better to be nice; that way, you have friends to back you up." 

He looks over at Pepper being held and loved on. "That little one confronted me to protect her friend even though I scared her. I like her spunk; she stood up to me. Do you think she will let me apologize, and then we can be friends? She is adorable."

"She has a crush on Tannie, the one that stood up and fought you."

"Oh." He looks back at Bam. "He's a real tough scraper for such a little ball of fluff."

Bam smiles with pride, "I taught him everything he knows."

"Winky, come on, boy, let's go home."

Winky hangs his head, "I have to go. Thank you for understanding."

"You can play ball with us when you come back to the dog park."

Winky stops and looks back, "I can, I really can?"

"Yeah, sure, just behave yourself, no bullying."

"Gee, thanks!"

"Come on, Winky, let's go!" his new dad calls.

He walks towards his new dad when he hears, "Hey! Butch."

He turns and looks around, "Huh?"

"I think you need to apologize to my friends and my hyung."

"Yes, of course."

As he passes Min Holly and Tannie, he looks at them and bows his head, woofing soft 'sorry's' to them both. Then his dad attaches his leash just as he is about to reach Pepper, who trembles in her mom's arms when he comes close.

He whines a soft apology to her, 'Please, beautiful one, forgive me.' his dad pulls him away from her.

"I'm sorry about Winky. The shelter did say he was scrapper. I didn't know they meant bully. I will pay for everything at the Vets. I'm truly sorry this happened."

Taehyung says, "Follow us to the vets. They can give you good information on training classes, and the nurses there are cute."

Yoongi looks at Winky and says, "Besides, I think your dog needs to see the vet, too. His leg is bleeding."

Tannie looks at Bam, "That was me, I did that."

"You did a great job defending the others, hyung. I'm very proud of you."

Jungkook kneels as Bam reaches his side. He kisses the top of his furry head. "You are such a good boy saving Tannie."
