Chapter II: Playground

03:30 PM, the school time is end now...

Teacher: "Alright class, it's time for y'all to go home now" the teacher announces it after checking the time from the clock wall as he then packs his things up and he walks out from the class

All the students then also starts to pack their things up into their bag and leave the classroom after the teacher except for them who still have to clean the room since it's also their "Clean the Classroom" schedule time

Fallin is one of them, but her classmates that's one schedule with her leave the classroom without cleaning it first but pay the fine to the class treasurer and it's ¥5 for each students

Except that one boy of her classmate

he's a 17 years old boy and has a fair skin, mulberry fluffy hair with a dusty red as the color of his eyes, he also had the one side of his hair is slightly longer than the other side. His name is Kanzaki Lin, he's usually called Lin by his old close friend that's separated from him to another class since the first year they enter this high school

He always does his duty for cleaning the classroom before he exits, but when there's something that he thinks it's really urgent, he'll just pay the fines to the class treasurer and leave but before that, he'll tell the others about the reason why he doesn't do his duty to clean the classroom

And now, there's just Fallin and Lin inside the classroom, cleaning and trying to adjust things in there and also giving each others a perspective task of what should each other of them do to make the room clean and tidy again

They both now finished their duty to clean the room up, as Lin is packing his things up into his bag, he notices that Fallin now is... sleeping? She's sitting and laying her head on her desk while her eyes' shut, she really is sleeping now, maybe she gets quite exhausted for the day in this school and ends up fall asleep at the end but luckily when the school time was already over and finished the "Clean the Classroom" duty

Fallin is really sleeping peacefully now, but she already packed her things up into her bag previously, so, once she wakes up, she can just exits the room already

Lin always notices that Fallin sometimes fall asleep after the school over or even at the lunch time before anyone (of their classmates) decides to wake her up and maybe ask her if she's doing okay once she wakes up (if they want to)

This time, Lin doesn't know what should he do to her, should he just leave her alone while she's sleeping in the classroom peacefully or wake her up and tell her to go back home

He thinks for a few seconds... but then, he ends up to just leave her alone in the classroom while she's sleeping peacefully

But before he left the room, he patted her head softly while hoping no one see what was he did to her and also she didn't notice that

04:45 PM, at school...

Fallin slowly wakes up and gets her head up from the desk

She rubs one of her eyes gently and blinks several times before she looks around her surrounding

It's quiet as no one in there except herself, she leans her back against the chair for around 5 minutes and stands up after that as she takes her backpack with her and leave the classroom

The hallway is also quiet enough but there's still some people around or inside a room but mostly teachers in the teacher lounge, library keeper, cleaning service, security, students who have a meeting/practice with their club things and students who's trying to finish their task on this day

She keeps walking, calmly, until she exits the school building and goes to the bicycle parking area which is next to the school security post, to take her bike before she leaves the school area

She doesn't ride her bike instead as she just walking with it on her side while holding both the bike handlebar

She keeps walking around the town until she gets tired and ends herself up sitting on a swing alone at a playground

She's alone in there as it's 05:10 PM now, she swings on it slowly a bit while playing on her phone and listening to one of her playlists' songs with her earphones

After a few minutes of staring at her phone's screen, she then decides to look around her surrounding before she looks up at the evening sky for 1 minute and then, go back staring at her phone screen

She stays there until it's 07:19 PM and as she notices the time, she puts her phone in her hoodie pocket and play with the swing a bit

3 minutes later...

She stops playing with the swing and gets up from there and looks around for a few seconds before she walks out from the playground area calmly

It's night... The sky turns to dark blue or almost black, the beautiful moon and stars start to appear on the night sky as the temperature at that time also feels like they're slowly goes down, making the air slowly starting to be colder and colder

Fallin feels the cold night air as she then looks down at both her hands that the palm of it slowly to turn pale and cold

While her hands' pale and cold... Her cheeks, ears, and nose are slowly turns rosy but she couldn't see it, of course, she should have a mirror first to take a look at her own face

She's still in her school uniform and with the black-and-white hoodie of hers too

As she's walking, she feels like something's forgotten...

She then tries to remember what's the thing that's forgotten for a few seconds

She looks around slowly and carefully, and...

Fallin: "Hmm... Oh- Oh my-" she mutters and slaps her forehead as she remember it the thing that's forgotten

It's her bike! She forgot and leave it at the playground. She decides to walk back there again to take the bike with her while hoping it's still there and no one steal it

After around 7 minutes of walking, she then arrives in front of the playground, she takes a look around it carefully before she sees her bike still on there

She goes towards her bike and checks it for a few seconds before she rides it as she then goes back to her home with it
