"Emmett, Willow, get Jasper out of here." Carlisle asserted calmly.
I was still pressed up against the far back wall of the living room, shivering, Alice's steady hands remained gripped to my shoulders, her tense posture a warning to hold back in case Jasper lost control again.
With Bella's arm bleeding profusely from the many wounds caused by the plunge, I doubted Jasper would turn on me — his focus was locked on her, yet the thought still sent a shudder through me.
Jasper struggled against Emmett's unyielding grip as he was dragged out, his snarls fierce and desperate. Willow and Rosalie followed closely, ensuring he was contained.
Esme lingered only a moment, her expression stricken with guilt.
"I'm so sorry, Bella, and to you as well Harper," she murmured before following the others outside.
Carlisle was already at Bella's side, kneeling to inspect her injuries — his face was a mask of quiet concentration. Edward stood frozen, regret etched into his perfect features as he watched her from a distance, his ocher eyes heavy with self-reproach.
"I'll need to stitch these up in my office," Carlisle said softly, turning to look at Edward. "Go check on Jasper, Edward. I'm sure he's very upset with himself, and I doubt he'll listen to anyone else but you right now."
Edward hesitated heavily, not wanting to leave Bella's side, but finally turned and slipped through the glass door, leaving the room eerily still.
Alice loosened her grip on my shoulders, her tension easing now that the chaos had cleared. I darted to Bella's side, panic overriding my shock.
"Bella!" I exclaimed, kneeling beside her. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine," she said, her voice steady despite the pain. She held up her uninjured hand, trying to reassure me.
"Alice, I think it's best if you take Harper home," Carlisle interjected, his tone gentle yet resolute. "I don't want her at risk, given Jasper's current state."
Alice nodded reluctantly, her expression tight with guilt. She turned to the door, waiting for me, but I lingered.
"Will she be okay?" I asked Carlisle, my voice trembling.
"Yes," he assured. "I'll be able to clean and stitch her wounds in no time — she'll be fine."
Alice's quiet voice broke through my hesitation. "Harper, we should go."
I glanced over my shoulder at Alice, before turning my gaze back to Bella one last time, forcing a small smile despite the unease clawing at me.
"I'll come by your house and check on you when I can," I promised.
