One dark and eerie Halloween night that took place long before skyscrapers pierced the skies before roaring engines roamed the fields, and before the loudest things weren't the sounds of a large traveling bullet that took man places they couldn't dream of but the loudest thing was simply the loud ticking of time that every man and woman held in their pockets as they strolled through life not thinking too soon, the moon was covered up by clouds, the wind was howling through the night, and the night was covered in shadows too dark for even some creatures were blinded by it.
A young man whose hair was as long as the crops in the ever-growing fields, a masculine distinction that stood proudly on the top of his lip, a long and elegant cape that floated gracefully wherever the man roamed, a gentleman's hat demonstrating a superiority as it stood high above all, a cane he used to continue growing his flair with each and every stepped that the cane pressed against the soil and a Victorian-like look that symbolized the man rich and luxurious lifestyle. This young man was known for being cold and heartless an heir to a powerful family who has now been corrupted by not greed but pride, he values himself, pleasure, and power he is the embodiment of the greatest sins of man.
He was on his way to complete a deal in Boston while he was on his way the driver spoke to the young man "Young master if I am so bold to ask why am I taking you to Boston?" The young man answered back rudely in a superior manner "Well it is not your place to know as lowly and disfigured as you are, you should know better than to question me and my actions." He then pauses "Oh master please forgive my rudeness I have served your family for generations and I meant no disrespect to you my master, I was only asking as a humble servant." The young man then looks at him coldly as the very heart of the driver grows cold and stale from his gaze "DO NOT FORGET THIS... KNOW YOUR PLACE."
He says obediently as if the driver was his slave and a disfigured pet for him to torment. The young man then says out of pity "But if you must know I plan to marry a rich daughter of a wealthy man, who I plan to defile and abuse to get what I desire and then eventually once her use is up and her time is up, I will throw her away like the other trash there is in this world."
"Then young master what is it that you desire?" he says with a concerned tone.
A grin formed on his face "Well is it not obvious I want her for her money and to amuse my lustful needs."
The young man was traveling in a dark carriage with lanterns hanging from both sides, moved by pale horses into the glimmering night he was the passenger while the driver was old and nothing but a servant to his master. As the driver stated earlier he has served under the wealthy family for generations after they brought him in when no one else wanted to since he was known as a monster who was cursed to live among man. Both his hometown and family decided to sell him to a wealthy family who was looking for "open services".
He led the carriage, and as the young man peaked outside he felt a chill running down his spine. He was left worried and confused about what was making him feel this way then he thought to himself Ah the wind is quite strong on this Halloween night reassuring himself that it was the wind.
Then as he ventures on he begins to hear a burst of sinister laughter it starts very small but eventually grows louder as the ticking goes still and the laughter that made time itself silent to its malevolent chuckle grows even more as he never felt like this before. This fear he felt he then begins thinking that it is the driver he then yells and bangs the front of the carriage saying "HAVE I NOT TOLD YOU TO LEARN YOUR PLACE? STOP LAUGHING THIS INSTANT YOU OLD FOOL AND FOCUS ON THE TASK AT HAND BEFORE I..."
Before he could finish his sentence the carriage came to a halt for a moment and then the driver began to scream and then suddenly it was silence... with the noise of crows following after. The young man shocked and terrified opened the door slightly to see what happened and then blood was dripping out forming a river of blood. Then he took one step outside and realized what caused that crimson river was that all of the four horses' heads were dropped to the ground.
