After that night the legend of Jack O'Lantern continued to grow exponentially, although many still believed in these "Legends" some people say they are simply mere myths.

Tales to frighten children so they would not venture on into the night by themselves during Halloween something similar to that of the boogeyman and other mythical monsters. But soon enough it will remind everyone of its existence.

Many years later came a breezy morning, the birds were singing outside, the sun began to rise, the trees were weeping as their leaves descended, the streets and highways were filled with an immense uproar, a bird-like machine ruling the heavens with its roar rumbling the ears of those that are near, and building after building surrounding the ants that walk among them while few trees remained.

David a young adult who was sleeping felt the warmth of the sun piercing through the curtains as he was rudely awakened by its wrath and tried rolling over to get away from the sun, finally he was able to block the sun's view from his eyes. But, before he could return to his slumber every teenager's nightmare happened... his alarm went off.

David got the message loud and clear but at this moment he dreaded getting up, he practically didn't have the strength to do so. Then he heard a door opening outside of his room as his eyes began to roll, he knew who it was coming from so fast and chaotically, but none other than David's little brother Charles.

Charles ran in with his hair straight and gleaming rivaling its light with the sun, his eyes lit up like sapphires, and his smile warmed even the coldest of hearts. He tries to get his brother up from bed while flicking the light switch on and off.

If the alarm didn't get David out of bed earlier his brother certainly did.

He then says sarcastically "Breakfast is ready better get downstairs or else Mom is going to put your ears  through one hell of a wake-up."

"Alright alright I am going can you stop flicking the stupid light on and off I will be down in a minute."

David felt as if he was in a deep slumber as his body was attached to the bed. All he wanted was to return to the land of dreams where he could escape the realm of reality.

He sat up like a mummy rising from its tomb, his eyes were practically zombified as if the brown shade he had in his eyes evaporated, and his hair was all dark, messy, and wild like the mane of a ferocious beast.

He then finally turned off that outrageous alarm before he could demolish it, then proceeded to forcefully drag himself out of bed, to have breakfast. Gets into his sandals and walks downstairs, having his arm sluggish and loose, and his back leaned forward.

When he arrived downstairs, Charles was there already with a massive grin on his face staring at his brother. His mother and father were waiting for him at the table as well but they weren't happy at all. He then says "Sorry for the delay I just wanted to get a little shut-eye" His mom then replies to him saying "Shut Eye? Is that what you doing in school as well?"

He lets out a big sigh, then sits down on a vacant seat still drained from his rude awakening, and is not in the mood for any annoyance until he gets his java.

As he waits for the food to arrive all he can think about is wanting to go back to his bed, and wishing he didn't need to go to school today and just take the day... no the week off or even the year off.

Finally, when his breakfast arrived he was welcomed with a treasure of delights to brighten up his morning accompanied by the smell of caffeine that can turn any mortal's day into that of a pleasing wonderland and the appetizing warmth of freshly cooked fried eggs filled his senses.
