remind joshua why he is friends with a bunch of idiots.
when minghao texted him, inviting him to grab some fast food with the others, joshua agreed without a second thought. he missed spending time with them.
when he agreed to hang out, he didn't know it would be so embarrassing.
oh my god, this is so embarrassing.
the famous noisy trio—booseoksoon—are screaming at each other. they are fighting over a kid menu. a kid menu. jihoon is sitting in the corner with his arms crossed. he looks so ticked off. the useless oldest is busy typing away on his phone. joshua unintentionally glanced at the device's screen earlier—seungcheol is texting jeonghan.
he covers his face and turns to the side, only to meet eyes with minghao. the chinese male mouths, "hyung, wanna ditch them?"
"deal," the american whispers.
two hands grab onto the two guys' neck. they both flinch at the sudden grip.
"what are you two whispering about? you're planning on ditching, aren't you?" seungcheol leans closer to their faces with an accused look.
"ew, move your face away from mine," joshua pushes his face away with both hands.
"they're so embarrassing. i don't wanna stay here any longer," minghao whispers, trying to escape seungcheol's grip. "hyung, let's leave together."
"no," the blonde male shakes his head. "seungkwan said a friend of his is joining us. i need new friends."
minghao giggles, "are you still sulking about that?"
"because you guys are assholes," seungcheol argues.
joshua, who is seated in the middle of the two, listens to the conversation with amusement. okay but cheol is cute when he sulks. he just sometimes gets really whiny.
minghao and joshua had quickly disposed the plan of ditching after they got caught. seungcheol is evil.
a moment later, the doorbell of the restaurant rings, revealing the incomer. seungkwan looks up from his phone and then waves his hand in the air. the new face at the door approaches them with a nervous smile. he bows his head slightly as a greeting.
"guys, meet my new friend, lee chan," seungkwan introduced the boy with blonde hair and tanned skin. he has such a bright smile. boo ushers the boy to sit next to him.
dokyeom leans forwards from the side. he waves, "hi, i'm dokyeom!"
"oh, h-hi," chan waves back timidly.
another male greets him with a really cute
eye-smile. his soft cheeks puff out slightly from the big welcoming smile. "hey, i'm soonyoung. i'm tiger." he does his signature hands sign.jihoon glares at him with a so-done expression. this guy needs to grow the hell up. "are you from disney or what? stop it," he pushes both of soonyoung's hands down to his lap.
he clicks his tongue in annoyance but immediately changes into a more neutral expression once he looks at chan again. "sorry about him. his brain lives in kindergarten. anyway, i'm jihoon. lee jihoon. nice to meet you."
chan chuckles a little at how soonyoung pouts at jihoon's choice of words. "hi, nice to meet you too."
then, the oldest of the group offers a handshake. "hi, i'm choi seungcheol. i'm a senior." his gummy smile low-key makes the younger feel things.
snap out of it, lee chan. you just met him. what the hell? he shakes his head a little, earning a confused look from seungcheol.
"hello sunbae," chan smiles shyly as his hand comes in touch with the older's.
