Chapter 43 - Formula 1 World Champion 2019
24 October 2019.
Morza, Iralia. Grand Prix last series.
The Grand Prix that closes the 2019 Formula 1 season, and also the Grand Prix that determines who is the new Formula 1 world champion. In the drivers' standings, Isaac still leads with 130 points, two points more than his main rival, Morten Grønbæk. So whoever of the two of them first touched the finish line in the race that time, is the winner. He is the 2019 world champion.
A situation similar to last year. Exactly one year ago, the last series Grand Prix which was also a crucial Grand Prix, brought together Ferris Rutherford and Isaac Renauld as two candidates for the 2018 world championship. But now, Ferris Rutherford has finished his career. And this crucial Grand Prix brings together Isaac Renauld and Morten Grønbæk as two potential 2019 world champions. Who will win the crown?
Isaac, who occupies the pole position, is in the front row. He glanced at Gronbæk who was behind him on his left, and thought to himself, Morten Grønbæk... 27 years old. Well, this is the last series. The series that determines, is it me or him who wins the trophy? Anything can happen here. I could just skid around the corner later and spin. Or get into the gravel. Or hit the dividing wall. Or the hydraulics of this car. Or this car suddenly emits smoke and catches fire. Or ...? But those things can also happen to him. Or on other racers. So... God, would You please, just give Your Hand on me. I must win and claim the trophy, which I will dedicate to Fez. I'm doing this for Fez.
Isaac took a deep breath and let it out slowly.
Meanwhile, Margee, who was waiting for Isaac in the Glauber paddock club, looked at Isaac who was already on the starting grid, and said to herself, Good luck, Ikey...!
The red light went out, and the cars sped away, warming up one lap of the circuit in advance. Once the warm-up was over, they returned to their original places on the starting line, and the final race began!
Isaac led from the start, with Gronbæk sticking close behind him.
James and Evelyn Renauld, who were also at the Glauber paddock club, also watched on the screen.
"Jim... I have a good feeling about Ike's match this time! How about you?" Evelyn asked her husband.
"Really? I also feel the same way. I'm sure he can win," said James.
"Let's pray for Ike that it happens as we hoped, okay?" Evelyn was silent for a moment. "But I..."
"What's wrong, Eve?"
"Ah... I'm still thinking about Fez, Jim .... Poor him, I don't know what's on his mind when he watched the live broadcast of the race. But I'm sure he must feel sad, he has to leave the world he has been in since he was a child! Poor our son, Jim."
James put his arm around his wife, trying to comfort her. "Eve... come on, let's pray for Fez, too."

Until laps. 35, Isaac is still leading the way. But then he suddenly had a panic attack as he realized the pressure Gronbæk was feeling was growing persistent.
Isaac knew he was losing control of himself. Damn! Why did I suddenly lose control and panic like this??
His team's voice could be heard from the earphones attached to his ears. "Calm down, calm down, Isaac! Don't panic. You may lose your current position."
"I know! I'm not going to easily give up my current position to him," he said as he passed the Variante della Rogia corner, speeding 71 mph, smoothly and did not deviate from the track at all.
