∆Mono-Ghost Haunting
It was early when Cyrus woke. Way too early.
The clock read 3-something AM, and his internal clock read sleep. Except when he was about to lay back down something stopped him from doing such. A buzz in his ear and a spin in his blurry vision forced him to sit up to shake off the feeling.
As soon as he lifted, he came to the sight of an old friend, which he hadn't seen physically since last summer. He'd received plenty of pictures from his adventures on short quests for Chiron, the centaur, or in camp itself, but not in person.
(y/n) sighed, rubbing his eyes as he shook his head, pushing his hair back. "Ugh, not again...!" he huffed in his cutesy Posh-British accent.
As Cyrus scanned the sudden invader, he noticed how he could slightly see through the boy, part of his skeleton was visible, and a light tint making the sight behind him look blueish to the eyes of Cyrus. (y/n) wore an open green jacket, a white shirt with a black AC/DC logo in the middle, ragged jeans, while being barefooted.
"Uh, hey?" Cyrus called out.
(y/n) blinked, slowly lowering his arms to his sides, hands still faced up. He frowned, looking back at Cyrus in confusion. "You can see me?"
"Uh, aye? Believe so," Cyrus shrugged, scoffing sarcastically. "Why are ye' in me' room?"
"I'm not," the hologram at the foot of his bed corrected, making an X with his hands that he pushed out. "Well, then again, I could be. It's quite difficult. If you can see me, I don't know if anyone else can."
"So, ye'r not dead, right?" Cyrus frowned, folding his legs.
"No, I'm just… out of my body, I s'pose. Like, my mind, or my essence—my soul," (y/n) explained, rolling his hands forward as if spinning an invisible wheel. "Is that understandable? I don't think it is..."
"No, I get it. It's like, Doctor Strange, right?" Cyrus said. "Going to another realm or something."
"Yeah, exactly like that. I just don't really know when it happens, or where I am when it does," (y/n) nodded, smiling.
"Ye'r not gonna die with that, are ye'?" Cyrus asked, looking seriously worried.
"No, I don't think so," (y/n) shook his head, folding his hands over one another. "Why do you ask?"
"Oh, that's good," Cyrus sighed in relief, nodding. "Cool."
"Yeah, cool," (y/n) nodded, his astral projection turning slightly redder than usual as he fidgeted with his rings. "I, uhm... I should wake up by now. I got a quest I should worry about. Some kid got a snake following him around his school, apparently, I gotta make sure it doesn't come with him to Camp tomorrow—or, today, I guess. I'm, like, escort. A— anyway, I gotta go. SeeYouTommorowInCampBye!"
With that, his body dissolved in the air, a hole opening on his chest before he turned into mist in Cyrus's bedroom.
Cyrus sighed, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, before laying back down onto his bed, groaning quietly as the land of dreams overtook his body, enveloping him in warmth and coziness.

The very same morning, Cyrus woke up at a proper time, the weak sunlight beaming through his window, and the smell of waffles from the kitchen indicating he was indeed awake.
