Something There

Erik's POV
It has been nearly two weeks since Christine's first lesson with me. She has drastically improved with my guidance and I can sense the wondrous potential beneath her voice.
Christine has provided an occupation for myself and I often find myself thinking of her...Of Her melodious voice, the way her curly brown hair spirals down her back, her breathtaking hazel eyes... I could go on about her for ages. She is quite different than the other women I have encountered and I already sense the feeling of infatuation for Christine. She is unlike any student I have ever had in the ways of her maturity, grace, and charm.
A knock on the door snapped me back to reality. Begrudgingly, I get up and open the door.
A tall Iranian man stands in the doorway.
"Daroga. What do I owe the pleasure of your company?" I asked.
Daroga, or more formally know as Nadir Kahn, grinned. "Erik!" He booms. "Old friend it has been a while!"
"Yes," I grumbled. "How wonderful to see you."
Nadir produces a couple of papers and documents. "The latest requests." He says.
I take the papers and quickly scan them over. Let's see... Blueprints and contracts.
Nadir and I own a construction company together but as of lately, I handle most of the paperwork while Nadir manages and oversees the construction of homes. Besides the company, I am a Vocal teacher to students such as Christine.

Nadir and I had met years before when I had been involved in as a spy for the Russian government. My work had sent me to Iran where I had met Nadir. He was an important police man there and despite the odds, he and I had gotten to know each other and become, dare I say it, friends.

"This particular couple wants a two story home with three bedrooms." Nadir informs me.
I nod my head. "Thank you Nadir. I shall take care of blueprints promptly and send them to you."
Nadir turned to leave, but an idea came up and I stop him.
"Nadir?"
"Yes Erik?"
"I-I, need some information on a client." I fibbed.
Nadir looks slightly suspicious but goes along with it.
"Alright," he said slowly. "Who?"
"Her name is Christine Daae. I would like to know some of her hobbies and interests so I can fit her room to her liking."
Nadir nods. "I can do that."
I sigh, relieved. "Great. I need it as soon as possible and oh, Nadir?"
He looks at me.
"I need this to be done discreetly."
"Erik, what's going on with-"
"No questions Daroga!" I growled. "I'm making it as a surprise for her." Yeah... A surprise.
Nadir finally agrees and leaves.
I shut the door and sigh. I am typically never nervous but Christine, it seems, has a unique effect on me. I have never been good with interacting with women so getting Nadir to find out what Christine's personality is is the only real choice I have.
I head to my office and sit down on my plush office chair. I expertly draw the outline of a house and take care to make precise measurements.
Three hours later
I hold up the drawing and looks at it with satisfaction. "Done!" I declare. The emptiness in the house is stifling so I prepare for tomorrows lesson with Christine. I rifled through my music sheets until I found the one I'm looking for. Christine... Christine. Her name brings joy to my lips, a flutter to my heart.
It may be too soon but her angelic voice and sweet demeanor has captivated me. She was intoxicating and made me feel like an alcoholic. I was addicted to her and needed more and fortunately I would see her tomorrow.

Authors note: I AM SO SORRY! I know it's been like forever since I've updated! Not to make any excuses but my finals had consumed my life and now I'm in Hawaii vacationing with my family. We have a lot of leisure time however and I'm pretty inspired here so I'll really try to post soon, maybe within the week! Thank you all so much for reading and please rate and comment!
