A few weeks later, Zac stood in front of Mr. Bill's office, taking a deep breath. He had spent the last few days learning the ropes, absorbing every bit of wisdom Mr. Bill had to offer. Today was the day he would officially take over the company. It was a bittersweet moment—he was excited for this new chapter, but also felt the weight of the responsibility he was about to shoulder.Mr. Bill, a seasoned and wise man with graying hair and kind eyes, looked at him with pride. "You're going to do great things, Zac. I know it."
"Thank you, Mr. Bill. I won't let you down," Zac replied, shaking his hand firmly. He felt a surge of gratitude and determination. This opportunity was a testament to his hard work and resilience, and he was ready to prove himself.
Mr. Bill smiled warmly. "You've earned this, Zac. Remember to trust your instincts and never stop learning."
"I will," Zac assured him. "And thank you for believing in me."
As he left Mr. Bill's office, a mix of emotions swirled inside him—excitement, pride, and a hint of nervousness. He knew this was a pivotal moment in his life, and he couldn't wait to share it with the two people who mattered most to him.
Later that evening, as Zac drove home, his heart was racing with anticipation. He had asked Fatima to meet him there, but hadn't told her why. He wanted it to be a surprise.
As he pulled into the driveway, he saw Fatima's G-Wagon already parked. He smiled, feeling a sense of warmth and comfort. She had been his rock through the ups and downs, and he couldn't wait to see her reaction.
He walked into the house, greeted by the familiar scent of Grandpa Luther's cooking. "Hey, Pops!" he called out, stepping into the living room.
"Sup nigga," Grandpa Luther replied, Zac chuckled. He was sitting in his favorite armchair, "Shug's in the kitchen, helping me with dinner."
"How is she helping you if you're in here?" Zac asked puzzled.
"My business ain't yours, always remember that." Luther replied, his eyes never leaving the tv.
"You probably got my baby in there slaving, while you in here on yo ass." Zac said shaking his head.
"I warned my shug about these dusty ass boys, and she picked the dustiest nigga of them all." He said , shaking his head with disappointment.
"Nigga you do know I am your grandson right?" Zac asked looking at him dumbfounded.
"And I don't give a damn. My shug is precious, I would hate to have to fuck you up for playing with my baby." Grandpa Luther spoke seriously. He loved Fatima like she was one of his own, and he would protect her from anyone, Zac included.
"Barely can wipehis own ass but stay threatening me." Zac muttered as he made his way to the kitchen and found Fatima. She looked up and smiled when she saw him. "Hey, you," she greeted, her eyes lighting up.
"Wassup," he replied, walking over to her and pulling her into a hug, they shared a kiss before he pulled back. "I have some news."
"Oh?" she asked, her curiosity piqued. "What is it?"
"Let's wait until we're all at the table," Zac said, a playful glint in his eye. "I want to tell both of you at the same time. Even though I wanna fold Luther's old ass up." He left her alone, going upstairs to wait for dinner to be done.
