THE PAST

The Lackadaisy Speakeasy...

People inside were dancing around, the sounds of jazz playing up in the air. Nearby the bar, cats were drinking away, enjoying their time underneath. Y/N was seen on the stage, performing his tricks while the audience watches.

"If I may, could someone come up to the stage and hand me a cigarette?" Y/N asked politely, scratching the back of his ear...something hidden was on there.

Someone from the crowd walked up towards him, handing the magician one. Y/N smiled with glee as he takes the cigarette, gripping it tightly and gestured the audience to come closer to see the trick he had planned.

"Thank you...oh wait! I forgot to get the lighter!" Y/N realized, letting go of the cigarette...but it was still floating in the air.

The audience was baffled on how it's happening, even the cat who handed him the cigarette. Y/N took off his hat, searching inside to find the lighter. He eventually found it after he tossed some non-important items inside his hat, and grabbed onto the cigarette like nothing ever happened.

"Sorry, I just had to check up on something! Anything happened, seems like ya found yourself amazed by me simply finding the lighter!" Y/N jokingly exclaimed, acting like he didn't see it.

"How did you-"

"Remember our famous phrase, people! We're unable to tell you the truth!" Y/N exclaimed, lighting the cigarette and handing it to the man who gave it.

The man placed it inside his mouth, smoking.

"Wait! That's bad for ya!" Y/N realized, before he pulled the cigarette away from him...without using his hands. It floated away from the man, baffling him as well.

"Ladies and gents, that's all I got to do! I'm the Ace Magician, and thank you for watching this short show!" Y/N bowed, the audience clapping after his trick.

The magician ran off the stage, and the musicians now had the stage for themselves. Y/N searched around, noticing a female tuxedo cat, standing nearby the bar.

Y/N swiped and flicked his top-hat, before hurrying towards there. He went past the dancing members on the floor. Before he could reach the bar, he was stopped by a girl.

"Hey! Ace Magician, right?" The girl asked, leaning up close.

"Well, that's right fella! Can't perform right now, but is there anything else ya need?" Y/N asked, being patient with them.

"Well, I just wanted to know if we could...you know, dance?" She asked politely. Nearby was a group of girls, watching the two speak.

"Hoo...Well the thing is...I already have a dance with someone else." Y/N stated, scratching the back of his neck at the awkward interaction.

"Oh...well, that's alright! Will it be long?" She asked.

"I'm not too sure myself...Sorry!" Y/N said, before he went past her. He was hurrying up to the bar, where the female tuxedo cat still stood alone.

"Hey, Morticia!" Y/N called her out.

The tuxedo cat presumably named "Morticia" had their ears perked, after getting the callout from him. Y/N walked up, smiling.

"Y/N. I took notice of your show over there." Morticia replied, arranging her glasses.

"Why didn't ya come up to see close? Still shy as always?" Y/N teased.

"...It would rather be...unpleasing to hear your crowd be surprised over your tricks." Morticia stated, walking up to him and fixing his suit up.

"Well, whatever you say-"

Before Y/N could finish his sentence, Morticia reached out to his ear, gently pulling something right behind it. It was revealed to be tape, along with barely visibly string.

"You may have fooled them. But you can't fool me, since we do have history together." Morticia stated.

"...Good catch, darlin'." Y/N smirked, bringing her close to an embrace.

"...I don't understand how come we managed to be in a romantic relationship with each other despite our personalities." Morticia said, slowly accepting his hug.

"I ain't sure about that...but I know if you ever betray us, i'll probably be one of the few that you'll hesitate to kill." Y/N jokingly said, while Morticia remained serious.

"Now...shall we dance?" Y/N asked politely.

"...Keep things slow. I don't want you dancing too out of touch of my preferences."

"No promises, 'Ticia."

THE PILOT IS IN THE WORKS. TRUST THE PROCESS!

[-:-] ISSUE #2: Dancing With Chaos [-:-]

_______________

(Howdy there folks! Reason why I wrote this is that the chapter progress for the pilot is taking a bit to produce, but i'm actively working on it!)

(Expect it to release around...approximately next week!)

(And if you're wondering: "Wait a minute! Isn't that character supposed to be in the Marigold gang?" Well, Morticia was actually a part of the Lackadaisy gang formerly, and I wanted to incorporate the interactions between our magician and our anti-social murderer!)

(Anyways, I'll see you soon!)

USELESS QUESTION OF THE DAY: What is Y/N and Morticia like during the past? How could this conflict the relationships between Morticia and Roxanne?
