Chapter 1: Life Is Better In A Bikini

Saturday, June 3rd

"Ella!" Serenity shouted as she flopped on my bed. "Yes?" I replied still half asleep, "Wake up girly, we're going to the beach!" Serenity said, "When don't we?" I asked jokingly. We go to the beach everyday. Me and Serenity are best friends and her family is basically mine, so we stay at her grandparents house during the summer because she lives super close to the beach. We love the beach!

I get up and go to the bathroom to see how crazy I look. Same t-shirt I've slept in the past week, and the jean shorts I was wearing the day before, super messy hair that i threw up in a bun as I walked out to the kitchen. "Good morning Ella," Serenity's grandma said enthusiastically. "Morning." I said back with a smile. "So, what are you girls doing today?" she asked as if she doesn't already know. "We might go to the beach or out to eat tonight." Serenity replied, "I'm so shocked!" her grandma joked. Serenity gave her a weird look like she was crazy and we all laughed.

After we ate breakfast we headed back to our room to pick out outfits. "I'm thinking black top, and my green bottoms. The really cheeky ones." Serenity said as she showed me the bikini set. "How cheeky 1-10, 1 not a lot and 10 being a lot?" I asked, "About a 7, 8ish." she answered, "Yea, wear them, it's not like family will be there" I confirmed, "True," Serenity replied, "Ooo you should wear your pink ones you just got!" I picked up the bikini and put it on, "Yea it's cute, but should i wear light wash or dark wash jeans with the pink?" I asked, "Ummm, dark for sure! I'll wear dark too!" Serenity answered, and we both put our briks on. Me and Serenity loved matching in any way possible.

We grab our beach bag that consisted of about 10 water bottles, a brush, a phone charger, books (that we never read), a blanket, and two towels. "Bye grandma. We're going to the beach now!" Serenity shouted, "Byeee!" I also shouted. It's about a 5 minute walk from the house to the beach, so it wasn't bad at all. Once we got to the beach we found a good spot and we sat down. We always play smash or pass with different boys at the beach, and sometimes we'd be confident enough to ask for their snap.

I spotted these two boys who looked very similar. "SMASH!" I said loud but only loud enough where Serenity could hear. "Wait, where?" she didn't know where I was looking, so I pointed. "Ew him?" she questioned, "Are you looking at the one I am?" I asked, "Which one are you talking about?" Serenity said really confused, "The left one!" I yelled, "Yea pass, the one on the right though, he's cute." She explained. We both look at each other and both shout "2 man!" at the same time.

About 10 minutes later we get into the water and slowly get closer to the two boys. "What do we say?" I whispered, "I don't fucking know." Serenity laughed. The boys looked at us at the same time we were looking at them, me and Serenity have never looked at each other so fast. "Do you think they saw us looking at them?" Serenity asked, "I don't know, look and see if they're looking!" I applied, "No! You look!" We both laughed. We both look up and see the boys right in front of us, "Do you girls wanna play football?" the taller one asks, me and Serenity look at each other and I say "Yea, why not." and looked back at the boy. This boy was the one I thought was cute, so I was already off to a great start.

"Okay!" the boy in front of me shouted, "Me and-" he looked down at me and asked quietly, "What's your name?" "Ella." I answered quickly. "Me and Ella will be on and team, and you two will be a team." The boys walk about two feet away from us, me and Serenity look at each other and I whisper to her, "We have to talk about this later!" "What are their names?" Serenity asked me. "Hey, what's your guys names?" I asked, "Well I'm Cam!" the taller one shouted, "And this is Carson, he's a little shy!" Cam laughed, "Shut up!" Carson yelled. "Hey, I'm Carson." he said. "Ha! I didn't get the shy one this time!" I teased to Serenity.

After about 20 minutes of football it got boring so we all got out of the water. Me and Serenity grab ours towels and wrap them around our body's warming ourselves. "You guys wanna go get something to eat?" Cam asked us. "Yes, I'm starving!" Serenity said looking at Carson hoping he'd say something back but he didn't. "Let's go to Subway." I suggested, it was super popular in our town and right next to the beach so it was always busy. The boys put their flip-flops on and me and Serenity put our briks on, and we started walking.

"So," Cam said standing close to me looking down to me, "So" I said back not being able to look him in the eye. "Carson is a super shy guy, but he was talking to me about her before we came up to you guys saying how her thought she was cute." Cam explained. "Okay?" I questioned, this time I was looking straight into his eyes. His dark brown eyes, I could stare into them forever. "and I thought you were really cute." Cam said "You did?" I questioned him, "I do." he assured me. "Lucky for you, ya got me. See Carson over there fumbles everything that comes his way." Cam joked.

"Carson, right?" Serenity asked as she walks up to him, "Yea, hey," Carson said nervously, "Hey." Serenity said back, "I'm like a really shy person so it might take me a little time getting comfortable enough to really talk to you." Carson explained, "I'm the same way," Serenity agreed. They continued talking about random stuff as we walked up the the restaurant. "What do ya say, I'm buying" Cam shouted. After we got our sandwiches we found an open table by the window. "I gotta pee," Carson sighed and Can went with him, "The ocean looks so nice!" Serenity said staring at the beach. "Forget the ocean! What about Cam and Carson!" I said getting her attention. "I know, me and Carson are so alike, we're both really shy though so it's kinda hard to talk to him." Serenity explained. "Yea, I bet. I'm so happy Cam is not shy!" I laughed.

The boys came up to us and sat down "This place any good?" Cam asked, "Yea, we eat here all the time." I answered. "How have you guys not eaten here before?" Serenity asked. "Well we've eaten at a Subway before, just not this one since we're from South Carolina." Carson answered, "South Carolina!" I shouted leaving my mouth open. "If you're from South Carolina, then whey are you here in Florida?" I asked. "Visiting our grandparents for the summer." Cam stated. "Us too!" Serenity shouted, "Well, it's my grandma but basically Ella's grandma too, but not really because their not related, and we're from here in Florida, we're just like a few towns over." she explained. "Oh you two aren't sisters?" Carson asked. "No, best friends." I replied. "Well, we're twins!" Cam said shockingly. "How come you guys don't have shirts on?" Carson asked changing the subject, me and Serenity looked at each other "Like why do you guys just have swimsuits ons?" He tried making his question more clearer, "Because life is better in a bikini!" I shouted. We then just started talking about random stuff.

It was 9:45 and our curfew is 10 so it was time to go home. "We gotta get home or my grandma will freak," Serenity sighed. "How far away does your grandma live?" Carson asked, "Just 5 minutes that way," and she pointed. "Okay, well Ella," Cam grabbed my arm and held me back, "can I have your snap?" he asked as he handed me his phone. I put my snap in his phone and added myself, "I'll text you when i get home." I assured him. "Carson!" Cam yelled running over to him, "Get her snap." he told Carson, "Umm, Serenity, can I get your snap?" Carson asked walking over to us. She gave it to him and we went our separate ways.
