Ever since you had been allowed your own room after being released from the cell you were initially locked in, you had gotten used to the idea of Crystal being the first person you saw in the morning. Not that her presence was a bad thing, but there was something refreshing about her greeting you with an actual name rather than the standard "hello" or "good morning". The expression on her face also showed she enjoyed actually having a name which she could address you by.

As morning routine's went, Crystal brought you some breakfast and the two of you sat and enjoyed some idle chatter until you finished your food and the two of you left your room to head to the training hall. You didn't have a Tai Chi session with Karnak so Crystal obviously invited you to observe her training to see how far she's improved, though you did have a small idea of how her proficiency increased due to her heroism the previous night.

However, it looked like there would be no training session as the two of you ran into Gorgon well away from the training hall. "There you are?" The Royal Guard spoke in a tone that immediately took the smile away from Crystal's face; it was a tone that suddenly filled the atmosphere with tension, even more so when Gorgon said that he had been looking all over for her. Crystal glanced your way before she answered that she had been with you, asking what the problem was as the Inhuman bruiser donned an expression even more serious than usual.

"It's Triton...he was attacked last night when he was scouting the human world" Gorgon spoke solemnly and Crystal's eyes widened as you asked what happened. In response, Gorgon simply gestured for you to follow and you looked at Crystal as she did you before you followed the lead towards the infirmary area.

As you were being led, Crystal asked for details of what happened but Gorgon refused to answer, instead insisting that it would be best to simply see Triton for yourselves. But then, just as you arrived at the infirmary, the Inhuman Royal Guard held his hand out in front of you, looking at you firmly as he advised that you should linger back a bit considering it was by humans in which Triton suffered his injuries. The tone of voice Gorgon had was again firm, but at the same time it wasn't a threat in which he told you to stay back...perhaps it was a sign of respect which you garnered that he was merely advising you?

That aside, the doors to the infirmary opened and inside were the rest of the Inhuman Royals; Black Bolt stood close to the bed which Triton laid upon, a comforting hand placed on the shoulder of the injured as hisses of pain could be heard. Beside the King stood Medusa, a sorrowful expression on her face as she advised Triton to try and lay still as Karnak tended to his injuries. He was administering treatment whilst beside him, Lockjaw rested his head on the bed with a sad whimper.

"We're here, what happened?!" Crystal exclaimed as she rushed forward, gasping and covering her mouth as she looked at Triton to see the state he was in. Battered and bruised, still bleeding from some wounds, it was clear the attack he suffered was vicious, but that wasn't all. His face, at least one side, was burnt pretty badly, as if he had something caustic thrown at him. It was a horrible sight to behold.

As he laid on the bed, Triton hissed as ointment was rubbed onto the injuries. "It burns!" He winced as Karnak tried to help him relax, saying that the pain will subside quicker if he can apply the ointment. "Just relax, you're safe now" Medusa tried to comfort the injured Inhuman before Crystal asked again what happened, wanting to know how Triton was hurt, and Gorgon stepped forward to answer that it happened the previous night when Triton was conducting his usual observation of the human world.

"He came across some humans who were attacking what they called Mutants" Gorgon said with Triton interjecting that it was a horrible sight. "Such cruelty, they begged for mercy but were given none, beaten and attacked, it was horrible" he whimpered in pain with Karnak again trying to help him relax. But Triton couldn't relax, just thinking about what he saw kept him tense and that pain wasn't helping, which led to what he had to endure.
