Chapter 20: Endings.

~ Four years after High school Graduation~

It's been four years since senior year, two years since Ryder and I broke up and three years since Cale and Kat got together.
I knew that I had to focus on my work at hand, I was finishing up my Masters, which is probably the hardest thing I've ever done apart from confessing to Ryder.
Ryder is actually dating Des now. He might be three years older than her, but they are one amazing couple.
It was easy for him to get over me, real easy. It took him three days, while on the other hand, it took me three months.
I also had a new boyfriend, Luke, who I am deeply in LIKE with.
I've also been enjoying life by going to parties, drinking responsibly, and not getting too drunk.
I only got drunk those three months I was trying to get over Ryder, my roommate called me a "disastrous horrid mess." because I was a crying mess.
Now, I look back on the years with Ryder as a fun teenage love experience, even though it wasn't really love.
I just liked him.
I studied a bit more before I went to sleep.
5:45 A.M. My clock read. I mentally groan.
I walk over to my bed and get my phone to check if I had any messages and I got a couple.
Kat: GUESS WHAT?!?
Kat: You're not answering so, i'm just going to tell you! CALE AND I ARE GETTING MARRIED!!
Once I read that, my eyes widened.
Cale and Kat are getting married, wow.
I responded back,
Belle: ARE YOU SERIOUS? CONGRATS BABE! Wait, I can't call you babe, you got another babe. 😔
She replied quickly,
Kat: You'll always be the one and only ba-babe in my life.
Belle: ba-babe?
Kat: Yes, ba-babe, cause my babe is Cale ❤
Belle: .__. Wow, gee thanks, anyways, I better go to sleep. I just got done studying.
Kat: U 4reals?
Belle: Very. Studying to be a nurse is hard work, but I got this.
Kat: I wish you the best of luck to pass!
Belle: I hope I do.
Kat: Night ba-babe.

I got another message from Cale,
Cale: Guess what!
Belle: You and Kat are getting married?
Cale: How'd you know?
Belle: Kat just told me 😂
Cale: Oh.
Belle: Congrats though!
Cale: Thanks bells.
Belle: Just saying, I will be at that wedding, if you don't invite me, i'm gonna crash it.
Cale: Aren't you going to be Kat's maid of honor?
Belle: I should ask her...

I went back to Kat and asked,

Kat: Of course! Who else fits?
Belle: Idk. You could have an amazing college friend yeah?
Kat: Not more important than u!
Belle: 😍😍 Awww ba-babe ❤
Kat: Ik, u luv me lots ❤❤❤

Just then I got a message,

Unknown: I miss u.
Belle: Who is this?
Unknown: U seriously went all out and deleted my number?
Belle: Idk who are u?
Unknown: It's Ryder.

My heart literally skipped a beat.

Belle: Ryder? Are u sure? I still have ur number, did u change phones or something?
Unknown: Uh, no?
Belle: If your Ryder, then where did we kiss? Our first kiss.
Unknown: School Parking lot. Easy.
Belle: Wrong, this is not Ryder.
Unknown: Okay, fine it's not.
Belle: By any chance, is this Des?
Unknown: Ding ding ding, we have a winner.
Belle: Why'd u say I miss u?
Unknown: Cause Ryder told me too.
Belle: How r u guys these days?
Des: We're fine, how r u? Still crying over him, wanting him back?
Belle: Actually, no. I'm fine.
Des: Ah, yes "fine".
Belle: Seriously, i'm wonderful. I got over him within like three hours being drunk.
Des: You're very irresponsible.
Belle: Thanks. So why exactly did u text me 4?
Des: I wanted to invite you to our daughter's first birthday party.
Belle: U have a daughter??
Des: Of course! We got married five months after u two broke it off.
Belle: Oh, I didn't know, congrats on your marriage and child! So when's her party?
Des: Ofc u didn't know! Ryder thought it'd break u, so we didn't tell you. Her party is next Friday.

Next Friday was my masters exam. Ugh, that sucked.

Belle: Bad news, my master's exam is next Friday, I want to be there for your daughter, but that exam...
Des: U don't have to make an excuse for not coming! It's okay. Ur an ex, u probably don't care about Ryder's happiness now.
