Manik and navya walked out only to look at nandini leaning on the car door lost in thoughts. Manik strode forward and stood in front of her making her look up.

Nandini(teary eyed): ma..manik

That was it for manik, he engulfed nandini into a bear hug and clutched her tightly to himself.

Manik(soothing): shhh...star kuch nahi hua..you are fine...keerthi is also fine.

Nandini(crying): par manik agar use kuch ho jata tho....main soch Rahi thi ki she was on the research team aur wo field work kar rahi thi that too after knowing her condition...us ko kuch ho jata tho...mujhe pata bhi nahi chalta.

Manik: par Jaan usko kuch hua nahi Naa... she's all good.

Nandini: I know she's fine....par uski condition main kya zaroorat thi field work ki..upar se mamu...unhone bhi jaane Diya Keerthi ko.

Manik (hesitating): kya condition Jaan...

Nandini stilled in the embrace while manik sensing her unease tried to assure her quickly.

Manik : agar you are not comfortable to talk it's fine.

Nandini shook her head breaking the hug.

Nandini : it's not about feeling comfortable manik. Trust me I can never feel uncomfortable around you. Sirf tum hi ho that makes me feel safe.

Manik (raising her chin): tho phir ye hesitance kyun?

Nandini : kyunki Jo bhi hua sab meri wajah se hua tha...I was weak and helpless aur uski saza Keerthi ko mili....main khud ko tumhari nazroon main girta nahi dekh sakti manik. Isiliye shayad kabhi himmat nahi kar payi tumhe batane ki.

Manik : hey hey nandini stop....nothing you say can change what I feel for you...trust me aisa kabhi nahi ho sakta. You have seen my worst side..my monster manik side par did that ever stop you from being there for me?

Nandini immediately nodded in no...manik smiled.

Manik : then tumhe kaisa laga I will feel any different.

Nandini kept looking at manik while navya who was silent the entire time stepped forward and kept her hand on nandini's shoulder.

Nandini looked at her while navya blinked her eyes in assuaurance.

Nandini took a deep breath and focused on manik again.

Nandini : it happened 2 months after navya and I returned from India.

Rathore mansion

Amar was pacing in his room looking tensed when Mrs.clinton entered with a tray of soup and frowned noticing amar.

Mrs.clinton: Mr rathode shouldn't you be resting in this condition.

She kept the tray on the side table and dragged amar towards the bed. After making sure he was situated properly with a pillow to support his back she picked up the bowl of steaming hot soup and got herself seated in front of him.

Amar looked at her forwarding him a spoonful, before he could open his mouth the door of his room opened with a bang.

Ajay rathode stepped in looking at the scene with anger filled eyes.

Ajay (shouted): Mrs Clinton...how dare you disobey my order

Mrs Clinton stood up from her place and stammered while looking down.

Amar too stood up with the help of the headrest.

Amar: dad please it's not her fault.

Ajay: enough...speak when you're spoken to.

Amar quietend down.

Ajay : now Mrs Clinton...looks like you have become way too arrogant that you have started disobeying my orders too. Just because my late wife was the one who appointed you does not mean that I donot have the authority to dismiss you this instant.

Mrs Clinton snapped her head at him in shock while amar closed his eyes.

Ajay : don't worry I am not gonna dismiss you that easily. Guards!!

Four well built guards entered into the room.

Ajay : drag her to the torture room. We are going to have nice long chart Mrs Clinton.

Two of the guards started dragging Mrs Clinton out while the other two held amar still who started struggling in their hold.

Amar: no please...dad...stop them....please..

Ajay looked on cold faced.

Ajay (disgusted) : just when I thought you couldn't get any more pathetic.

Amar : I promise I'll do anything just please....please let her go.

Ajay (smirking) : anything. I just want one thing...and you know what that is.

Amar gulped a lump down his throat as navya's face flashed in front of his eyes.

Amar : I promise...this time...I...I'll ki...kill her.

Ajay smirked and patted his son's shoulder.

Ajay: until you get the job done Mrs Clinton will be under my supervision...just make sure your aim doesn't falter as your sentence did.

With that he walked out of the room leaving amar in agony.
