Nandini turned back and looked at manik only to find him staring straight at her.....into her eyes.......

" s....sorry....nan...nandini....i am sorry......you had to suffer....suffer so much.....all because of...me...me..." he spoke painfully.......

" aur main " he spoke pointing at himself with a sad smile.....

" i...i was the biggest fool in the world.....everything you have suffered was all given by me.....i....i broke....you....." he spoke kneeling on the floor crying making nandini look at him in shock.....

She quickly knelt down and cupped his cheeks...." ma...manik...shh....look.....look at me....please....meri taraf dekho....." but manik still bent his head not able to look in her eyes.....

She rubbed the tears flowing from his eyes and gently made him look at her and spoke softly " manik.....you....you trust me right....." manik nodded at her looking like a lost child.....

" tho meri baat mano.....its not your fault manik.....meri zindagi ka aise banna was not your fault.....it was my destiny......." nandini spoke.....manik opened his mouth to protest but nandini glared at him making him pout......

" the day you let me go was also the day amms left me....i had to go to mangalore....vaha  i got to know of my mamu.....after all that i dint want to stay in india isliye when mamu asked me to come to australia i went to him......"

" i tried to move on in my life ....by keeping you in my memories....it was all going well until i was kidnapped and i had to face the dark part of my life..." nandini continued by telling him all the incidences that followed after becoming N.M......

" every thing was going well but our rivals started doubting that my real identity was nandini murthy.........because nandini had a family which can be used against her.....i had to prove them that nandini was dead....so they believe that nandini murthy and N.M were two different people......i came to india and contacted chachi and then nandini murthy was officially declared dead....." nandini spoke chuckling painfully......

Manik widened his eyes " chachi knew about you...."

Nandini nodded looking down " before i left i found navya....in pune.....the condition i found her in horrifed me.......i couldnt let her live like that so i took her with me......."

Manik's hand which was around nandini loosened a little.....she felt it and looked at him only to see hurt in his eyes while her's reflected guilt....." you.....you were in pune.....you...knew " manik spoke......

Nandini nodded " i knew that you went to chachi....i got to know you were searching for me....i wanted to come to you that instant only manik "

" tho kyun nahi aayi mere paas....kyu...nandini " manik asked holding her hand tighter afraid to let go.......

" i....i was scared of briging you into my life manik.....i was not the same nandini....all this mafia and killing made me into a monster.....you....you were scared of darkness manik tho how could i tell you that the one you considered your shining star is now the darkness herself....." nandini spoke remebering the day she recieved chachi's call telling her that manik has come searching for her......

" i though it was best for you to stay away from me....atleast that way you would have been safe....all these years i thought that what i did was right....lekin the day when i found you at the hotel i realised just how wrong i have been.....i had been a coward....after knowing what happened to you i realised how much i regretted not coming to you then.....i am sorry manik....." nandini spoke tearily.....

Manik shook his head wrapping his arms around her pulling her closer " you dont have to be nandini....what has happened.....we cant change it......from now on i dont want any of us to look back......"

Nandini looked at him " you are right manik....i dont want to look back....what matters the most is even after all this we are still here together....stronger than before....."

" i know nandini this is just the start.....there is still something more that you are unable to say but i wont force you....tell me only when you are ready.....you taking this step is more than enough for me " he spoke giving nandini that last  bit assurance that this time he is here to stay....

" and this time i am not letting you go nandini.....not now not ever....all these years i realised just how important you are to me....how much you mean to me....all these years your memories were the only thing that kept me sane.......your hope was the only thing that passed my day....all this time i thought of millions of things i wanted to say to you....but now when you are here......with me...all i can think of is how much i...." manik paused looking deep into her eyes......

" just how much i love you " he spoke....his eyes expressing all the emotions which the words couldnt convey......

" i love you " he spoke holding her tighter....

Nandini looked at him with tears flowing eyes.....she cupped his cheek with one hand and moved closer to his lips.....

Their lips were inches apart...manik's hold on nandini tightened while nandini looked into his eyes with all the love she has for him.....

" i love you too...manik " she whispered  before crashing her lips on his......

Manik closed his eyes feeling her lips on his after all these years....

His one hand surrounded her waist while the other was at the back of her neck pulling her closer making her moan.....nandini roamed her hands on his broad muscular back until it finally settled in his hair...manik took her upper lip gently sucking and biting it while nandini too responded equally....he licked her lower lip softly asking for entrance while nandini opened her mouth.....manik roamed his tongue tasting every corner of her mouth.....after a few min he broke the kiss when he felt nandini getting breathless...

Both were panting due to the aftermath of their encounter....a small smile played on their lips....manik leaned closer and muttered " i love you " once again pecking her lips.....nandini smiled widely and hugged him burying her face in his neck " me too "

Manik chuckled at his bundle of joy and wrapped her in his arms pulling her closer to him and away from the world.......
