Season 1: Chapter 2 - The Grocery Store

Alexis is shopping at a grocery store. She calls Jason.

Alexis: Hey, what did you say we needed again? Jason: We need milk, bread, eggs. Alexis: Oh yeah. Jason: And can you stop by Burger Co.? Alexis: Burger Co.? Jason: Why you being such a hater for? Alexis: I'm not babe, yeah I could stop by. Jason: Okay, thanks.

They hang up. Outside, 7 people still loyal to the defunct Northern Atlantic cartel are loading there pistols, ready to enact revenge against Alexis. Meanwhile, Alexis, none the wiser is in the bread aisle. Gunshots sound off in the front of the store. People start running away as the cartel members keep firing, killing random shoppers. Alexis runs to the front, past the onslaught of people.

Cartel Member: Where is Alexis Summers!

Alexis uses an aisle for cover and draws her gun and kills one of the cartel members. The rest fire back with their high powered weapons, penetrating the aisle. A gunfight happens throughout the aisles as they try to shoot Alexis as she moves from aisle to aisle. She hides behind another aisle and instinctively goes to activate her radio on her shoulder for back up. She's not on the clock. She's alone.

Alexis: Son of a bitch.

The cartel members get closer when suddenly the power goes out. She runs to go behind a meat counter. A loud commotion happens as something is moving through the darkness. Suddenly the cartel members panic as they start blindly firing into the darkness, bullets hitting the walls and deflecting of something before it goes silent. The lights come back on, the cartel members lay motionless on the floor. Alexis cautiously moves the cartel members to see if they're dead. They're unconscious. Police sirens are heard in the distance getting closer as Alexis holsters her gun, wondering what happened. Her squad leader, Colton Reign, responds to the scene and takes her outside.

Colton: What happened here, Summers? Alexis: I don't know. One minute it was quiet, the next, the whole place is getting shot up.

Colton looks around.

Colton: Seems like we're not quite done with Northern Atlantic...

A figure is standing on the roof of a neighboring building. Nightwing. They don't notice him as he moves out of sight.
