I was wrong!! This is him!! The Alpha! Lupus. The leader of all packs and ruler of Lycanthor. The monster that killed my sister stood right in front of me, and I mistook him for Malcon.

I couldn't control my anger and hatred for him. I wished I could slit his throat open and feed it to his dog-like friend who tortured me.

Memories of that night flashed back. I looked at him with hatred. He will rot in hell.

I sensed Eimee's presence, assuring me that everything's going to be okay.

"You don't look at Lupus in the eyes, little human. You can't disrespect him like that." He said rushing to me and wanted to slap but Lupus stopped him. This surprised me. Oh God, I hate this guy. If I manage to get out of here, he will be the first one on my killing list.

"Perhaps we should call Gabriella, the pack witch. She will get the truth out of her through hypnosis," Lupus suggested.

"I'll send a word," Lupus added as an afterthought. My energy was totally off, and I couldn't even murmur a word, so I just let my head hang down.

Later, the door opened, and I could hear light footsteps. It was a woman.

"Gabriella, welcome," Lupus welcomed her.

She was here. The witch. She would drain the life out of me once she learned about my mission. I started shivering; this rarely happened to me.

"Where's the girl?" She asked, her voice a bit hoarse.

"She's here," Malcon said.

I sensed her moving towards me, and then a hand touched my head and lifted me up.
When I made eye contact, she was in shock, She was terrified.

"Lupus, what have you done?" Shock filled her.

"What do you mean, Gabriella?" Lupus asked with concern.

"Quickly call the pack doctor." And with that, all I remember is getting untied and darkness.

               *****************

I slowly started opening my eyes to see two figures standing in front of me. My arm was in pain. My birthmark was itchy and burning. I had the sign of an 'L ' on my arm as a birthmark. I wasn't fully awake, and their faces were blurry, but I could make out their voices.

It was Lupus and the witch. They were talking in hushed tones. I decided not to open my eyes and eavesdrop. Maybe I'll learn a thing or two.

"Why didn't you tell me before that she's the girl from the moon goddesses  prophecy? Now look what you made me do," Lupus's voice said.

"There was some fault in my eyesight, and I didn't see it coming. I knew something was wrong; that's why I felt weird today. Now you should really take care of her and talk to her once she wakes up. Let her rest," Gabriella said.

"Sophia is the best pack doctor we have; she will take care of her. And if somebody dares disturb her, I won't tolerate it." And with that, they left.

I opened my eyes and stood up. That's when I noticed I was not in that smelly place anymore but in a big bedroom, laying on white sheets. I was covered in a blanket, honestly, I felt comfortable.

Confused, I stood up and looked around. This was one of the largest and fanciest rooms I had ever seen.

I thought I would be dead by now. What am I doing here, and how did I get here? How is it that I'm just fine, and somebody treated my wounds? Those questions kept lingering in my mind as I looked around the room.

Lupus's conversation with the witch startled me. Who were they talking about? This also added to the mystery.

I moved to the balcony, greeted by the beautiful misty forests. It looked like I was in a castle, a huge one.

It was dawn, and the setting sun gave the forests a beautiful vista. What is this place, and how do I escape? I asked myself, looking around. I looked down the balcony. It was high, and obviously, I couldn't jump.

Stupid me!! I turned around just to bump into someone.

I screamed, startled. "I'm sorry for scaring you. I didn't mean to sneak up on you," he said. I couldn't even look him in the eyes because I was boiling. I swallowed my adrenaline.

My hatred for this monster is beyond. "So, you are finally up? Are you fine?" he said. This man's audacity is high. I wanted to snap his head off right now and take my revenge. I know I couldn't take him down alone with all those muscles. They were the only ones I could see because I couldn't face him.

I looked around for something weapon-like to use against my target, but there was none, so I started shivering, knowing that the end is near. And suddenly, I felt his hands on me. He held me close. I tried to get away, but he was too strong for me.

"You are shaking, little human. Did I say something bad to you? Don't be afraid of me. I won't hurt you," he said, moving closer and looking at me as if I really mattered to him. What is happening?

In my state of confusion, I quickly ran to the bed and took a pillow, threatening him. "Stay away from me. What do you want from me?" I said, not knowing how to react.

"You aren't supposed to be scared of me. That's what Gabriella said," he said.

"What? You think I will rejoice after seeing you? You first kidnapped me and got me beaten up. I was tortured to death, and you think I would praise for that, and you expect me not to be afraid of you? Just kill me already. End my life," I said, a tear that I didn't realize I had in me escaping.

"Tears, tears, tears. I hate tears. Look, Gabriella explained everything. I wasn't supposed to treat you like that. We mistook you for someone else. If Gabriella had let us know earlier, we wouldn't have treated you like that. My apologies," he said, moving closer to me.

"Stay away!! You think your apology will solve everything . And why would you mistake me for someone else? I don't remember having a doppelganger. "

"We thought you were a spy. Hired by the Vampires. The moment I smelled human blood in Lycanthor, I sent Malcon to go get the human. I didnt order Malcon to torture you. Thats why he will have to be punished for his actions. So rest assured" he assured and he continued.

"The vampires usually make use of humans to spy on us and seduce my man. We thought you were one of them. But its weird on how i smelled you from such a distance. This is unusual. "

"So you mistook me for human whores? And what made you change your thoughts about me?" I asked, trying to get some answers and half disappointed. I mean a whore..

"Im not familiar with that human term but you understand. It's because you're the one." He didn't answer my question but just added to my mystery.

"What do you mean?"
"I'll explain everything tomorrow. Rest and freshen up first; you really look weird in those."

And that's when I realized my jeans were ripped.
