mate's revelation

I finished bathing and found clean clothes neatly folded on the bed. They were baggy, and as I sniffed at one, I recognized Lupus's scent. I bumbed into him earlier.

His smell was strangely relaxing, I had to admit I like it.
No ,no,no... you aren't supposed to think good about him,he killed your sister,he got you tortured,he's the ruthless alpha,he's a murderer... a bad guy.
though I reminded myself of his dark deeds – . Yet, I found myself putting on the clothes after applying lotion found on the bed.

I noticed a plate of food alongside the bed. They looked tasty. I didn't wanna have the food but my stomach grumbled reminding me that I'm starving. So with no second thought,I took a mouthful and the rest is history.

Originally, my plan was revenge and a quick departure but I don't see myself accomplishing my mission and leaving soon. He is a hard nut to crack. I know I won't be able to handle him.

He's an Alpha for Chris sake!!

Not knowing what to do next, I fell on the comfortable bed and had the best night of my life.

I got up early. I looked around for a watch but there wasn't any. Meaning they don't use watches.

Not knowing what to do,I decided to learn more about my surroundings and plan my escape. As I opened the door to explore, I discovered a vast castle.

My heart echoed with the haunting whispers of the castle's ancient stones as I found myself enveloped in its shadowy embrace. The air was thick with an intoxicating mix of mystery and danger, much like the enigmatic Lycanthor itself.

The flickering candlelight danced across the ornate tapestries, casting ethereal patterns that seemed to mirror the intricate dance of my thoughts.

I wonder why nobody asked me how I got here and why is a human in Lycanthor and why they decided not to kill me. What happened to Gabriella, I saw fear in her eyes when she looked at me and this just creeped me out. Did she learn about my mission?

Oh dear me!! I sighed.

I wandered through the dimly lit corridors, the weight of anticipation settling upon my shoulders. The air crackled with an unspoken tension, and I could feel the impending storm gathering within the castle's ancient halls.

The castle is beautiful ,I had to admit!!
Approaching a grand room with angelic doors, I hesitated to peek inside. Something within me told me to stop and I listened.
And Just as I decided to leave,the doors  behind me flung open.
I stopped in my tracks.

"Leaving so soon, my little human? You're up so early."
It was him,the last person I expected to see. He stood there shirtless and he was wearing shorts - an unexpected sight.

This is the first time I saw him clearly.
He's one in a million,even with his intimidating look,you can still made out his handsome face. He also had long hair and they hung loose on the shoulders. And trust me,his abs are.... no no,stop.. I told myself.

"I,I was leaving," I stammered, my shyness surfacing.
"So humans can fluster too. Don't worry; you're allowed to see me like this since you're ..."
He stopped in his tracks.

I gave him a  'what' look.
"How about I show you around first and  explain everything to you?"
He suggested.

"I'm not Interested in walking with you or getting to know about your castle. "
I said because I didn't wanna think about Eimee. But something within triggered.

"Trust me,you would like it. I'll go put on a t-shirt. You are the only one who's supposed to see me like this." He said leaving me confused and that's when I learned that this was actually his room. It seemed to be the largest in the castle.

I wanted to leave but an inexplicable force urged me to stay. I just couldn't put on a finger on why. Later ,Lupus returned in a t-shirt.

"Well,where do we start? " he said leading me out of the castle. Reluctantly, I followed as he showed me around.

"So this is where the soldiers train,and right here is where wolves make pups with their mates."
He said revealing training grounds and mating areas. The sun was rising.

"What?you mean having sex in public? " I suddenly found myself blurting.
"Yes,it's a rule in Lycanthor. " he calmly responded.

"And why are you telling me all this?" I asked finally coming to my senses after getting caught in the moment.

" A Lupus always shows a Luna around her new home."

Home,what!!

"Wait,what?" I questioned.

"I think it's time to tell you. Come, let's have a seat," Lupus said, guiding me to a bench.I didn't know what's wrong with me,so I obeyed.

After taking a seat. He sighed.

"Well,you remember Gabriella,the witch?" He began.

"Who wouldn't remember that creepy thing." I replied old me breaking through.

" Well,every wolf has a mate...."

"Like in movies?" I interrupted, attempting to provoke him but he remained calm and gathered.

"Yes, but this is reality. Fate chooses mates, and Gabriella helps ensure they find each other. Fate can be intertwined," he explained with a low growl.

"Well,most of the wolves got their mates but the alpha was supposed to be the first one to find his mate,but there has been fault in Gabriella"s eyesight when he tries to look into my inner wolf to see her 'my mate." He said taking a breathing break.

"So her horoscope suggested meeting the mate physically and my inner wolf would recognise her immediately. I waited and waited for my inner wolf to identify her and but still it didn't identify her all these years. So I almost lost hope."

"Why is it so?" I asked trying to get some answers again.
"Because it turns out that my mate is human. "
He said after gathering his strength and giving a low growl again.

"And what does this have to do with me staying here? You want me to look for your mate or what?"

"No..  there's no need for that." He said moving closer to me and trying to touch me. I felt like he was trying to seduce me.
"Because my mate is right here,with me. Under my watch. Breathing the same air as me finally. I waited long enough. "

He paused.

"Welcome home mate."

And this is how my soul left my body for the second time.
