As I watched you lay in your casket
Your face, neck and hands were purple
I couldn't believe you were once a person
Breathing, living and smelling the air I smell today
It was like reality took a big hit at me
By showing me how this would be the last destination
I stood there in disbelief,
Each tear down my face
Weighted more than observed
Life stood still, Indescribable muffled voices
Of people crying repeated for what seemed forever
And as the casket closed
And the last glances were gone
It also closed the very last memory
I held of you
