"Will you stay?"
"Nice to meet you, Y/N," Jungkook Chimed.
The rain started to ease up as we walked towards my house. The heavy drops turned into a mist, and the dark clouds disappeared, making way for a bright blue sky. The air now carried that familiar smell of wet mud after rain.
As we continued, the sun came out, making everything super bright. It took a moment for my eyes to adjust.
"So, what's your major, Y/N?" he asked while shutting down the umbrella with one hand, and holding the plastic bag from before on the other.
the golden sun rays fell on us, and everything was now ridiculously way bright. it took a second to adjust my vision. while i was squinting my eyes, jungkook took out something from under the depth of the pocket of his overcoat.
a camera.
"Science," I replied, not thinking much of it, still adjusting to the sudden brightness.
Jungkook, not bothered by the change in weather, took the camera. He focused it on the sky and pressed a button.
Click.
I looked up to see what was he even capturing. There, in the clear blue sky, was nature's masterpiece of the aftermath of rain.
A Rainbow.
"Oh! i see, science." he shifted the focus of the camera to a puddle on the other side of the road. Small frogs were jumping around it making the most annoying yet beautiful sound.
"waaah!" he grinned checking the pictures he had taken.
suddenly he focused on me, and before i could react i heard a click sound.
did he take a picture of me?
"hey, what the hell. why did you take my picture?" i swung my hand to grab the camera but he quickly tossed it back into his pocket.
he chuckled.
"Well, I thought you should be part of the memory too," he said with a playful grin, his eyes sparkling. "After all, it's not every day you get caught in a post-rain rainbow, right?"
"delete it." i tried to look angry and threatening.
"don't worry, I'll keep it" he resumed the walk and i followed him.
why is he so desperate to keep that picture, is something on my face?
i ran my palm around my face to remove it in case there was something on it.
"don't worry, there's nothing on your face" he spoke out of nowhere.
i took fast steps to catch up to him as my house wasn't far from there. Jungkook kept his gaze straight and unwavering with a slight smile on his lips. i guess he is always smiling.
