The demon possessed truck driver stepped out of his truck and walked over. John, Dean, and I were unconscious, Sam swallowed, barely awake.
The demon pulled the driver's side door off its hinges to reveal Sam pointing the Colt at him.
"Back. Or I'll kill you, I swear to god." Sam said.
"You won't. You're saving that bullet for someone else." the demon said. Sam cocked the gun.
"You wanna bet?" Sam said. It smiled; the black demon smoke poured out of the man, who collapsed. Sam uncocked the gun and dropped his head back in relief.
"Oh my god!" the man said.
"Dad?" Sam asked.
"Did I do this?" the man asked.
"Dad! Dean? Ali!" Sam yelled.
A rescue helicopter descended to the crash site, and all four of us were being loaded onto stretchers. John, Dean, and I were still unconscious, Sam was awake.
"Significant passenger side intrusion. Unresponsive. BP is 180 over 60, heart rate 95, 95." the paramedic said.
"Tell me if they're okay!" Sam yelled.
"You have to stay still!" a paramedic said to Sam.
"Are they even alive?" Sam asked.
We were all in separate hospital rooms. In a room, Dean sat up, worked his jaw and got out of bed. He was wearing a white t-shirt, blue hospital pants, and nothing else. He went into the hallway.
"Sam? Dad? Ali? Anybody?" Dean asked. Dean went down the stairs to the front of the hospital and found a nurse's station.
"Excuse me. Hi. I, uh, I think I was in a car accident, my dad, my friend, and my brother, I just need to find them." Dean said. The nurse was unresponsive. "Hello?" Dean snapped his fingers. He went back upstairs, panicked, and found his room. Dean saw his own body on the bed, dying. He had a shocked face.
Still reeling from the shock of seeing his unconscious body, Dean turned, relieved, as Sam entered. Sam stopped at the door and stared at his brother's body, breathing heavily.
"Sammy! You look good. Considering." Dean said.
"Oh, no." Sam said.
"Man, tell me you can hear me." Dean said. Sam didn't answer. "How's dad and Ali? Are they okay? Come on, you're the psychic. Give me some ghost whispering or something!" Dean said. The doctor and I entered. I was dressed in sweats and a loose blue tank top and my hair was in a messy bun.
"Your father's awake. You can go see him if you like." the doctor said.
"Thank god." Dean said.
"Doc, what about my brother?" Sam asked.
"Well, he sustained serious injury: blood loss, contusions to his liver and kidney. But it's the head trauma I'm worried about. There's early signs of cerebral edema." the doctor said.
"Well, what can we do?" I asked.
"Well, we won't know his full condition until he wakes up. If he wakes up." the doctor said.
"If?" Sam said as I said
"Excuse me, If?" I asked.
"I have to be honest —" the doctor said.
"Oh, screw you, Doc, I'm waking up." Dean said.
"Most people with this degree of injury wouldn't have survived this long. He's fighting very hard. But you need to have realistic expectations." the doctor said.
